How old should our youth players be before they start gambing in pool?

Ahhh the life of the gambler.... The riches, women, cars and fine homes.... err ummm sorry was thinking of the hollywood version or the rare exception... said exceptions NEVER involve pool... you may make a few scores and manage to not work much for a living but then again you usually won't have much.....

The boy is 12 and I would never think to start him gambling until he is out of highschool and maybe not until he is through college...

I think this came up before but exactly how many of the pro speed players went out and got their degree so they could actually make a living??

Think it might have something todo with many of these players starting to gamble when they were still teens????

I'd say a college degree (not education necessarily, but the piece of paper) IS a BIG gamble nowadays....bigger than hanging in pool halls. In college, a Person is gambling their whole future, risking life-long debt while not earning enough to pay it off....EVER. Pool risk doesn't even come close to that kind of ruin.

Life's a gamble, like it or not,
