Brunswick cushion problem

I bought a used bristol, has centennial cushions , all the cushion have good bounce but one. Four or five inches on both ends of the cushion are really hard , sounds like your hitting wood. This table is in like new condition, felt looked new, this was a table that never saw any action for ten years. Is this caused by lack of used or do I need a new cushion. Any input wood help

You need new cushions. It really does not make sense to only do one. Some cushions last forever while some go in months.

Agreed. Have them all replaced at the same time so you have a matched set. Otherwise, you'll likely be replacing more in another year or two and they'll never play consistent. You cloth will need replaced at the same time, so plan on having that done all together.
 
I have more cloth. I know it not the right thing to do, but I'm just going to replace the one.

My (Professional FWIW) recommendation would be to either #1 eat the cost of the rail cloth (minimal compared to whole table) as the expense of learning associated with DIY and replace them all now, or #2 practice your jumps and masse's, beat the hell out of that cloth and do it all at the same time. If you have one bad rail, the rest will be bad soon enough. Besides rubber being sold in sets and not individually, if you just replace one now, chances are you'll have another couple of bad ones before long. You'll always be playing catch up and never have all of your rails playing consistent all the way around the table.

If you're going to do it, do it right or you won't be happy with the results.
 
Definitely replace the entire set. I had 2 bad cushions on my GCIV. The TURK (Bob DeTurk) did my cushions.
