This is AMAZING 8 Ball - Live

This table looks like a 7ft British table.
Australia uses the same thing.

Tough table for American pool balls size
 
They are 9ft tables with snooker cloth and rails and pockets and regular pool balls. You will see that they can't really cheat the pockets, run balls down the rails or spin the cue ball much. But still they come with some pretty sporty run outs. Tons of precision cue ball control into tight spaces.
 
I didn't realize that youku provide streams to overseas users. There will be another live stream on 10:30pm, EST. Although I can't predict which match of the loser's bracket 4th round will be choosen to stream.

I am Xiamen. Sometimes Youku can be accessed though from outside China. it's hit and miss.

Do you mean at 9:30pm China time or 9:30pm EST USA time? If so then the folks here should know that this means 13 hours from now.
 
I was wrong about the time gap, you are right, the daylight saving time has passed. I meant 9:30am in Chinese timezone. Should that translate to 10:30pm eastern coast time?
 
I played on similar tables in Beijing last year. They are brutal to play on and definitely 9 footers.
 
It's great to see, and mostly plays like regular 8 ball. Someone recently linked some matches with Chris Melling playing on one of those... one shot he missed seemed like it was due to the rounded pockets. But it was a tough shot anyway and was not unmakeable due to the pockets... just much harder. I don't think he'd even fire at it if he didn't have a planned safety built in.

I personally don't welcome any changes that make equipment play harder. When pool becomes too easy for me, and I start running out 70% of the time, then I'll worry about adding artificial challenge to it.

edit: just realized my little editorial must seem out of place. I was answering Scaramouche's question in the other thread...

I recently played in Australia on the 7 ft version. They call them "8 ball" tables, mostly coin op's. Not at all easy. 9 ft version must be brutal.
