Steal them. After all I bought the Cue. This Cue has Mike's influences screaming out!
I am leaning towards keeping it. Stunning work. Ivory Joint and butt Cap. I over looked this Cues construction not giving it a second thought. Then I woke up and realized what I was looking at. Mike hated steel rings in his builds. Tim was famous for his ringwork with metal rings. Mike liked the no metal in a cue anywhere it had finish on it.
His Ivory Buttcap,Joint and Inlays builds were very expensive and eveything had to match. The inlay pattern and rings really show an almost tuxedo look.

Mike once told me.. that the alternate ivory they used for their buttcaps fooled alot of people.. he said even had had trouble telling the difference...

Steal them

"Steal them" when someone tells you they are considering buying a certain cue. I Called Nick to talk about Scruggs cues and told him I was seriously interested in Jeremy's cue and planned to meet in person to do a cash transaction. So what does Nick do , he tells me if Jeremy is selling it probably does not play well. And then buys it before I get a chance to meet Jeremy in person.

This cue is not that important enough to me. I certainly can do without it. Must be very important to you to act as you did. Enjoy. Nice work Nick, you're a gem. I must remind myself never to call or make a deal with you

I also said Jeramy would take the Cue back if you were unhappy for any reason and he was great to buy from. Jeramy said he was leaving town and had planned to see you that day and would just asoon sell the Cue to you but you didn't meet as he had wished to that day.And you couldn't make the scene as he hed planned. I bank wired him payment oon the spot.
I PMed you and offered it to you imediately and said I would not gouge you. You would have paid less if you just asked. I did offer this to you at a savings to what Jeramy posted the Cue for sale priced.
Apologies if you didn't understand. I will stand by that and your price will be less than what Jeramy offered you.

I would rather keep it. but as I said I PM offered you this Cue if there was a misunderstanding I apologise. You were looking at many Cues. Jeramy owed a little favor. Looking at the Cue for about the 10th time and said lets see what Jeramy will do for me.

Hope it turns out well.

It is probably my fault there. But I will do as promised here. I thought it was a winner for all three of us. If you didn't know me it would be easy to think otherwise.

Sounds VERY fair, except Nick did not PM with an offer for this cue. Nick , check you PMs and produce for me it. It NEVER happened. You only offered me something else in your collection.

No problem I'm done with this.
 
I cleared my PM box yesterday.

I did offer the Cue. Be kind enough to post what I sent. I got about 20 or 30 PM's questions on Scruggs Cues and my box was 96% full so I erased sent PM's. As I said The Cue is yours for less than what Jeramy offerd it to you. If you don't want that price don't blame me. You have a phone all you have to do is call and save money.

Either way your price less. Anyone else the Cue is not for sale. I will not be able to ship the Cue or take payment for a couple weeks but you are welcome to it.
You really should have called. This is a non issue. You want the Cue it is yours. This is a new one on me. I like the Cue and can keep it. That will not hurt my feelings. Your having this Cue is in your hands is your decision. Please rember it may be weeks before I can sell anything. I have just had surgery. Maybe I can get it picked up. Rather wait though.
All you have to do is ask.
