216 Pt Keith Hanssen: Over $9k

It doesn't appear the diamonds in the middle of the butt meet in the middle (or maybe I'm just blind), so I'm curious how you get this effect with milling technique only. Really cool.

He always says, "It's an ancient Chinese secret."

20 points with 3 recuts =80 (forearm)
16 points down with 2 recuts= 48
16 points up with 2 recurs = 48
20 diamond (assuming those each count for 2 points = 40
80
48
48
40
____ = 216 points

The pictures look as though there are 16 points at each level and 16 diamonds as well. Is this a guess or do you know this is the actual answer? Inquiring minds want to know lol.

I've held the cue in hand and have more of the pictures than what are posted on the website and az I spent 45 minutes counting

Breakdown corrected
20 points in forearm with 3 recuts=80
20 points up in buttsleve with 2 recuts =60
20 points down in but sleeve with 2 recuts 60
16 diamonds= 16 points
Took. Few extra looks but that's the layout
Diamonds are not two points

Math = 216 for those who can't add

From the man himself 3 set of 18x4

If you thought the guy over paid, you wouldn't walk up to him in a pool hall and say, "You got F'd over. that's not worth $___." because it's rude.

I might express my opinion, even in person. It can be rude, but it doesn't have to be.

wow there is alot of points in the cue but do you actually count the inlayed diamond as points ? this is the first time I ever heard a cue maker count the inlays as part of the points.

I don't think they are technically 'inlays' like everyone's accustomed to in cues, made with a pantograph or cnc. Think he mills these somehow.

There are actually three recuts in each point...lol. It looks to me like the base wood for the butt sleeve is alternating maple and green dyed whatever and the ebony points for each of the up/down points is large enough so that when they overlap the form the diamonds between the points.
