Player ratings, C, B, A, A+, Pro, etc?

What are the official ratings for players and how do you approximate them for someone?

Ratings are relative to the size of the sample.

I have standard answers for a few questions I am often asked in a pool environment.
The first being, "How good are you?" My reply would be "Well, I am the best player within a three foot radius."

:sorry:My least favorite is when I miss a shot and someone in the gallery speaks up with, "You never miss that shot against me!" To which I respond, "That is because you don't shoot good enough to scare me!"

No such thing as an official rating. I have played in several parts of the country and been rated as:

A++
A
B
90
9

10/1
