Hi, I've had a mezz alpha shaft that i changed the tip for plenty of times, now the ferrule of that shaft is kinda weird , looks like cone shaped and needed to be changed, I'm thinking of putting a predator ferrule to my mezz shaft and my question to you guys, will this work? I know that the internal predator ferrule has some hole in it , and i'm not sure about the mezz ferrule, but if i put a predator ferrule to the mezz shaft , will there be any problem? playing wise , or will the characteristic of the shaft change?

Your ferrule is cone shapped because you sanded the ferrule during all your tip changes. You should be able to cut, trim and burnish the sides of the tip with out ever touching the ferrule. As far as your question about a predator ferrule on an Mezz shaft, Why would you ??? Would you put a chevy bumper on a ford. There is a reason why Predator and OB and Mezz shafts have what they have. By changing it I'm sure you will find a big difference in how the shaft feels and plays. It's much better that you replace with what is ment to be there. Why not just use a Mezz ferrule ?

I personally don't know of any authorized repair shop that will do it for you or even give you the ferrule. I have the ferrules for Predators, OB's and Mezz. I don't, won't interchange them on each others shafts. Above that, Predator ferrules scratch easier than any other material, that alone should discourage you.
