ddadams

Absolutely love this cue.

Aside from JB, who else has a really great interior in their cases that really ensures things stay where they're supposed to and not move around much?

J. W. Hager -- currently not in business, but apparently planning to return at some point.

It's tuff to compare to JB

Tube cases like whitten are cool though

But jb is a head above the rest in protection

Try a volturi case and then let me know ur opinion....several azers already have my cases...u can ask them privately about their opinion.... Or even ask djay... He recently acquired one

Instroke.

The most formidable tube case ever built was the old predator cases (by instroke/JB). Someone posted a link to Joerackem on ebay who has a few for sale. They're quite a deal at his prices, and like I said they are bullet proof (but heavy).

There aren't a lot of custom makers who are doing padded interiors. I assume you mean that the cues should stay put when the case is inverted. Volturi cases is the only custom case maker doing this at the moment that I know of. Jiasen is also doing padded interiors on most of their cases the way that I taught them to do it. They are primarily a production house but do make some custom work.

Instroke of course, still making them the way I designed them.

Al Kinghorn, King Cases, ususally does a padded interior although you have to ask him I think.

Rusty has done some where the cues stay put if I remember correctly.

Other than that I can't think of anyone who isn't buying interiors from us who is doing their own padded interiors.

Oops, I thought I mentioned you in the first sentence which is why I didn't say it again in the list.

Of course I meant to include you. And of course you are a case maker. :-)

For what it's worth, considering that you already own several of our cases and several cases from other high end makers I am absolutely delighted that you chose to follow my philosophy of padded protection.

I think if all case makers did this then it would be better for consumers all the way around.

Yes in fact I collect cases n cues... As many others.... It's common when ur involved in the industry...
But never adopted any philosophy for my interiors ... The are padded but they aren't the same as urs...
It doesnt take a rocket scientist to develop padded interiors... Padded fabric is available in every corner... Just a matter of choosing whatever suits best!
The fabric of my interiors are from Japan n developed by Toyota ! It's same fabric used for car interiors and by airline companies... Made for heavy duty usage and also fire-retardant...
Anyway none of this is important... Important r the players that use them

Just one of several reasons I'm delighted to have mine! All this and still prices that make me feel like I'm stealing from Roger!

One reason why i order more Volturi cases in the future.but not the only one.. Roger work just in time, the details are perfect and so on...

Do you have a website with pictures of your work ? I couldn't find anything in my google search.

Ok I sense a bit of a problem. Let me be clear. When I started 20 years ago there were not any hard tube cases with padded interiors.

I added the padding to the multiple tubes which isn't rocket science of course. I simply felt that some padding which kept the cues in place was better than none which allowed the cues to rattle and fall out.

Then later when I started using the single hollow tube I was the first to make padded interiors on those. That was in 2007. Again not rocket science but also not JUST using commonly available padded fabric. We went through dozens and dozens of permutations to end up with what we have now and we are never done tweaking it.

So the fact of it is that ANY case maker who followed me with padded multiple tubes or padded cavities in a larger single tube IS following my lead whether or not their version is the same or better than what we do.

I admire that you are doing what you feel makes the cases better than anyone else's. That has been my foundation of building cases since 1991. I call it continuous improvement and we practice it every day.

To that end if I see another case maker is doing something that they claim makes a better case than we are then I WILL copy that technique if I think it makes a better product. I would hope that everyone making products thinks the same way. I want the best case for my money and I hope the case maker is putting out the very best case that they can.

Haha, I had no idea this thread would be anywhere near the top in this section still.

Should be getting my JB case in the mail fairly soon I believe so this topic is a non issue for me now.

But always good to see some new stuff. Volturi cases look AWESOME from what I've seen so far.
