Old new pool hall opening

A new pool hall is opening in Sayerville New Jersey. 960 route 9 south. Was called Prime Time. Has been closed for two years. Now call "On the Snap".
There are actually three different businesses. What used to be the Comedy club in now a sports bar. They did a beautiful job on this area. What used to be the bar area in now a restaurant. The chef was one of the five finalists from the tv show Hell's Kitchen. Clemenza. See season 10 on youtube. I tasted some of his cooking the other day, amazing. The restaurant might not be officially be open for a few weeks.
The pool hall has only minor changes. Looks mostly the same. Very nice atmosphere. Eighteen 9 foot Brunswicks. Two diamond bar tables for the leagues.
For the first two weeks it will cost $1 to play all day. Not per hour, all day.
 
Hi Matt. You are right about the cost. Where we get a whole dollar.
I think our league should be starting up in the next couple of weeks. Looking forward to seeing everyone again.

Joel:

You say, "A new pool hall is opening..." and "for the first two weeks it 'will' cost..." as if to say in the future, hasn't happened yet. The question is when is it opening? Will there be a grand opening?

I might try to stop by, if I can squeeze a trip into NJ.

AWESOME NEWS ALWAYS GLAD TO HEAR ABOUT HALLS OPENING UP!:thumbup: WE NEED MORE IN IL! 1st MOVE POLITICIANS NEED TO GET THESE SKY HIGH TAXES DOWN. WAY DOWN!:eek:
 
I am not the owner. The owner is a pool player, so he understands the players needs. Clean tables, clean ball, clean room. I will be helping out a little. Mostly in the early hours.
It is open now, just not officially. Just got the ok from inspector for pool hall. I think the bar is also set to go. The bar is one of the nicest bars I have seen. The restaurant will be cooking for the bar at first. The restaurant seating area is still a work in progress.
Right now play is free. After the official opening, I think next week, he is going to charge $1 for the day for the first two weeks. After that there is an hourly rate. Day time flat rate is $10 from 11 to 6. That is 7 hours for only $10.
Keep in mind this place is only 20 minutes from where the Super Billiards Expo is being held this year. Full bar, gourmet cooking. If you get a chance stop by.
 
It looks like Wednesday will be the official opening. Bar should be open as well as kitchen. You can still stop in Monday or Tuesday and play for free.
 
Joel...That sounds great! I was at Prime Time with you many times. Glad it got reopened...and even better for the owner to be a player! Good to hear you're involved even a little. On the Snap will be the better for it...plus you'll get tons of table time! LOL Best of luck to the new owner. It's sounds like a winning combination. Can't wait to stop in there the next time I'm in Jersey!
