Beware the cuesmith deluxe and inlsy machine on ebay is a scam. The guy just sfnt me a very official invoice from ebay to my email. Problem is ebsy doesnt send invoices requesting I pay by Western Union. He is in Germany on business...right.

The listing is a hot mess. Photos of wood and supplies. None of the lathe and inlsy machine. Then he srnds me photos and I know I saw this machine listef before, on Ebay I believe.

Steer clear of this one. Ebay customer service assurred me it a scam. Like the black boar Mattaya cue that was listed there a few times for 1000!

Good job Bud. I hate seeing people get hosed by these scammers.

BTW, Our deal went down 100% and between the lathe purchase that I did plus our deal, people should take note on how to take care of business the right way.

If more people acted like you and Jimmy, there wouldn't be any problems. Not much if any in this forum but it happens frequently outside this forum and its nice to see members looking out.

I've had great success so far from buying a few pieces of cocobolo to ferrules.

Todd does the same and its always a pleasure.

Tom as well.

It only takes one bad apple to screw things up around here.

Some of these posters don't get enuff credit.

I don't know Blud but he might be a source for a manual panto. I do know that Ryan (Rat Cues) had one at one time.
Give Ryan a shout and see.

As a side note. CuePorn went out of his way to stay in touch and also bought a few items that were not available where I live just to make sure that I had the right material to put together a taper bar set up like he built. Thanks Pal, I appreciate it.

Thanks Terry

I just know others watch Ebay and this one is too good to be true. If you look at the listing it is just full of nonsense. Here is the fake invoice sent to me. It has ebay logos and the same font they use. I just copied it and pasted, but the email is very believable.

That's a good one

I want to see him ship it in a USPS priority mail medium flat rate box! That is turn magic.

I know , free shipping ..cmon man.

Why its still up is beyond me. I tried to bid $2,000,000, but it wouldnt let me. Maybe $20,000 would get it. I gotta call them today to see it is taken down.

Shamless. The guy did say all the right things, until he said he was in Germany and asked me to pay Western Union. He gave decent answers to what was included too. Even the scammers know how easily a used Hightowersetup sells.

That's actually kind of frightening if you think about it.
Historically a Hightower Deluxe has not been a real popular item in the criminal world.
Next we're going to see knockoff Sugartree cues coming out of Germany.

I also contacted the guy very early on and tried to get him to split it up and sell me JUST the inlay machine, he declined but IMMEDIATELY wanted to send me an invoice for the whole package so I politely declined. He did send a bunch of pics of the rest of the stuff "supposebly" included in the auction. He told me it was already packaged up and the Post Office was storing it for him until it ships ( I also have never heard of the Post Office "storing" an item for you until it is ready to ship.)

Well

It's a good scam. But in all at least we know better to help out people see how messed up that really is. Just look at his feedback and see how long he has been on. That's a flag right there.

:angry:would this be item number261173919924? I am cuerrently the high bidder I hope this isn't a scam , ....

Wow **** this guy major Scam man. He is Romanian by the way. The name is a very popular name in romania and it is used to scam people abroad.

$

The one this is if someone bids it up the guy unless he gets what he wants can just end the item anytime. Plus if you send the payment via PayPal he can just take you down a dark hole that eBay and PayPal refund land. So do not bid on it. The guy is full of xxxx!

ebay protection??

I called them on this twice and sent a copy of the invoice as well. That was 2 days ago. Why it is still there is beyond me. I will insist they remove it today. If not I will bid it up , win and not pay. I already emailed the guy and called him a few bad names fwiw.

Anybody remember this listing about 3-6 months ago? I saw the same photos he emailed me as well as the components in his one ebay photo. That was a real listing and it sold for about 3k as I remember.

That is the adress of the Hotel Crown Plaza Berlin City. I telephoned with them and asked for that guy (under a pretext). But they don't have a guest with that name.

This all stinks to high heaven!

Crook

Really, no pictures of the lathe itself and I think you get 12 now for FREE..Also the FREE shipping, probably $100.00 at least..2 feedback, 2006 and 2009...Should be $cam-$cam instead ....And the don't buy it now unless you contact me first, what a joke...ePray will probably leave it just so they can collect the listing fees, usually the way it works...If you get it, I would be supprised..
