WOW! Some characters and the things they do will never cease to amaze. When a friend sent me this link on Facebook I just couldn’t help from chiming in. So, you losers get caught cheating and you step forth in an absolutely pathetic attempt to save your compromised integrity? You were no better at saving your integrity than you were at cheating. What was I thinking; apparently integrity isn’t in their vocabulary anyway.
I was amazed no one recognized these characters from the APA magazine or website. I’m assuming the keg with legs JOHN TOROCKIO, was the captain since he so brazenly stepped forth in this ill-fated attempt at cheaters logic. Nice try Jack Wagon! Characters in question are from right to “wrong”, FRANKIE BURKETT, KANDACE DUNLAP (soon to be REOTT),DEVON ANDERSON, LINDSAY DEYARMIN,JOHN TOROCKIO (keg with legs, Ha ha..) & SCOTT REOTT, Missing from the famed/shamed photo was the Fraud himself J.D. GREENE. I’m sure you will find them all on Dream Team rosters in TAP’s Edison event. I no longer live in that area, and I only know a couple of them, but they were known to have been involved in questionably ethical behaviors previously, but this certainly is scraping the bottom of the barrel! These classless clowns should be banned from “ALL league pool” for life.
The TAP officials attempt at rationalizing their actions and TAP’s actions is also in poor judgment. Why would any organized league want these classless individuals involved in any pool league at all? These people are giving league pool a bad name, and TAP is ok with that only because TAP hasn’t “YET” been cheated. Wow, I agree how do you know sir for absolute certain TAP hasn’t been cheated? No need to answer, you don’t. What a stupid statement. Funny this area has been questionable for many years in handicapped pool leagues, as has ZSAPA the local APA affiliates. Few other APA ops have been sanctioned more than they have... If TAP wanted to show real integrity here TAP would step in right here, right now from the people at the top and “LIFETIME BAN” these guys right here right now in front of the world’s audience in pool. There’s only one single reason TAP would not… Money! Is it really that important to TAP to obtain the “dirty money” of cheaters like this? Is this what TAP’s really about? The APA took their stand, now it’s TAP’s turn. As a formidable leader in the Pool community step up and show the pool community TAP’s is the league with integrity! What more proof do you need? The cheaters admitted to cheating. Do you really need to catch them yet “AGAIN”?
I guess The Super Billiard Expo in Edison will be interesting! I wish I could attend. I wonder if anyone has e-mailed this to Allen Hopkins? Doubtful he wants these clowns affiliated with his name and events. Even though TAP has its own event Allen’s event is still on the line here as he runs that show. Frankly why would any players with real integrity even want involved with these clowns ever again on any of their teams in any league is beyond me as you would only give yourself a bad name.

I was told there are penalties in APA for LO who send underrated players at national events IE.they lose spots to the next year event
this is a big deal as the carrot is not there which costs them teams and cash
wonder if tap,bca etc. punishes their lo for baggars and cheaters?
oh ya APA sent teams in the past back if they lost to DQ teams that is a true statement!

This will be my last post.. i want to start w a apology to racetonine and everyone in the apa nationals. i know what we did was wrong and i made myself look like a idiot trying to justify it. I hope you guys can look past this. It was a spare of the moment decision and was a bad one. aparently none of you guys ever made a mistake. Thanks to the FEW that actually didnt jump to the conclusion were all scumbag cheaters and all we do is bag and cheat in leagues. some of you realized some of these replys are harsh and far from trueth. Like sam said were all in other leagues some have been playing for 10 years or more in tap.ive been playing for 3-4 years in both, fairly new to bca, it just got started back up in my area.. Just because we made that bad decision, doesnt mean I or we are all cheaters and immoral and criminals and all that you are all calling us...
Youll prolly bash me for saying this too, i know someone who was killed by a drunk driver, guys still in jail for it all and is a felony criminal now.
everyone can JUMP to the conclusion this guy is a scumbag criminal and bash him by the hundreds, believe me, i was mad about it.. come to find out later this guy has never been arested before and his BAC was .09, he had 2 drinks at dinner and it was raining out and hydroplaned an head on colusion.

after reading what i was replying, i shouldnt of said things what and how i said it, i was replying mad and if i switched shoes i understand SOME of you guys comments. id feel the same way. i was a idiot trying to defend it. Sam (my tap league OP)knows all us and were a few small joining towns and small league like 80 teams total spread between 3 nights. Everyone knows the cheaters in our area and the bagging/cheating is really bad in the apa nowhere near it in tap.

if you are beat by a team that gets dq'd on spot, you move on like what happened in semi finals, the team we played got drilled in 4 matches in semi's...
every team we played will get a invite back. also every team that played the other 2 teams DQ'd will also

15k is a lot to ship back to the APA. If you guys do that, kudos to you all for doing the right thing. If the money gets sent back, please consider updating the thread.

I personally think the APA should at the very least extend to all the teams that played you a Nationals spot to come play in the show again. There of course will be the issue of how many of these teams can go back to nationals with the same roster or if they would be allowed to change the roster. Thats actually a bit humorous to consider based on what the gist of all that has happened to get to this point.
Comparing this to the BCA debacle of the Taiwan open players is not really apples to apple because in that instance the BCA officials were more negligent to allow both of those players to advance through a 1000 player field only to DQ them at the end. Especially considering all the complaints that were voiced about those players all through the event, they waited until the very end to take action and by that time the collateral damage in the brackets was enormous. In this instance, there hasnt been any indication that the APA knew of this and allowed anything to continue, so a similar response as what happened in the BCA open singles is probably not a fair comparison. Regardless, Im sure the 15k will be a point contention among all the APA teams that were affected by this fraud.

We were offered nothing , when I asked for there decision in writing Catie said she could not , if I wanted I could get something from there lawyers but I would have to wait . My LO said none of the teams affected will receive any consideration .

Too fair and obvious for the APA. WTF do they care as long as the money machine keeps rolling. BTW who gets the tax benefits of a donation? They do.
They make a fortune at these tournaments from the casinos who filltheir hotels and gaming floirs. The payouts are nothing compared to what they take in.When there is a problem they wont make any decision based on right and wrong, just dollars and cents.

I think had the apology and different tone came earlier whether sincere or not people here would have thought much differently.
With the comments about your league compared to others I would wonder if the scoresheets are marked correctly regarding table size or if your LO is entering them correctly. It was stated that the team played on 9fters and if not marked properly on score sheet it could cause an issue.

If the APA cared to...
they could easily sue these people in civil court for damages and attorney fees. Surely they have legal counsel available. This would require commitment of money and taking the risk , but they would demonstrate their commitment to mandating fair play. Hell just spend a few hundred and serve them legal papers. Most of the time those who are guilty pay to avoid having to spend money to lawyer up. A civil court judge would nail them to the wall.
In place of that YOU GET NOTHING!!!

I joined this site because I was interested in getting more serious, and probably joining TAP, BCA, or APA. Been recruited by all 3. I've seen a thread pretty much weekly dealing with drama, in one or the other. This thread pretty much sealed my decision. Life's too short, ill stick with my local bar league and tournaments.
I can not say this with enough sincerity, please don't let all of the prima dona's on this site change your mind. There is more good coming from leagues, than the negative.
