First time using my BreakRak.....

I have been working on my break for a few months now...I was hitting 18's and 19's mph with SOME accuracy. Working on my break, using a longer lever I was able to get upper 19's and occasional 20 but with horrible accuracy...worthless in a game of pool.

Got a BreakRak, and used it yesterday for the first time, and WOW!!!
Everyone needs one of these!

I broke about 75 times in a little over an hour and a half!!!

Tweaked this, a little of that, moved my body a little hear, pinned my shoulder in there, a little wrist pop here ...after an hour and a half, I was breaking low 20's mph and nearly squatting the cueball !!!!!

After that I broke some real racks, and it was ridiculous how hard the impact was...1 mph and a lot more accuracy makes a world of difference!!!

I could never have broke 75 times in one night without this thing. I actually damaged it, lol. Yes, I broke my breakrak:thumbup:

So I called Charley, the owner of the company, asking if it could be fixed...he asked me if I bought it from him...I politely said no...I bought it used. He said, just send it to me, I'll fix it !!! I didn't even buy this thing from him and he's standing behind it! He said that he's only had like 10 that broke out of like 2500 or something...I would highly recommend buying one of these things, and who knows, maybe you too, could be lucky enough to be able to claim that you broke it with your super awesome new found break, :grin-square:

What a gadget, what a company, what an idea, what a guy...Charley, you made my day. Thank you. My BreakRak is NOT FOR SALE. :D
 
I broke mine too a few years back. I live in Japan, so Charley just asked for a picture of the broken part and sent a replacement part to me in a couple days free of charge. Great service, and great product, although I haven't used it as of late due to lack of time on the table.
 
The breakrak is a fantastic training tool. I tend to only use it in empty pool rooms because too many people interrupt me to ask questions about it/want to use it.

Exactly...I have a sports bar I go to during the day that has a barbox in a banquet room which is always empty...people poke their heads in, but I pretty much have the place to myself :-)

Finding a good place is a bit of a challenge though

First, I'd like to echo that the BreakRak is fantastic and Charley is as fantastic.

I'll put a warning out to you all, especially to the older guys like me. Don't be foolish and break 75 times in a night too often without treating it like a physical work out!!! You might end up with some form of tendonitis.

Haha...I got sore after my first couple uses of it too.

And so did my simonis!:embarrassed2:

Yeah, was in pain, lol...
Now that the hard core work is done, I think I will take Charley's advice and keep it to 1/2 hour very focused sessions.

I am glad I put the 1 1/2 hr initial in

We have BreakRAKs out there that are 11 years old next month. If you have an old BreakRAK with anything wrong with it, you send it home for a real good overhaul.

I just bought a BreakRak. Charlie can set you up for any size table including; 10 foot, 9 foot , 8 foot or 7 foot. I'm getting provisions for all of the above.

I'm so glad you posted this. I just picked up a used BreakRak (III) used about 3 weeks ago. Used it once and noticed some parts of the headball were cracked/coming off from the first time I hit it. :( I wasn't sure what to do about it. But now, I'm going to call as well!

But yes - The one night I used it for about an hour (along with a Rempe training ball to dial in my hit) was invaluable. Significant break improvement on CB control. :) :)

I played Thursday night, in league match, and ...I don't know who was breaking the balls !!!!!!!

I was hitting the rack so hard, pocketing balls on nearly every break, splitting em like a watermelon...picking my suit nearly every time I broke, and running out many of the racks...

This thing is THE DEAL, I'm dying to get it back, if it did this for my break in ONE PRACTICE SESSION...I'm dying to find out what it will do after 5...10?

Been playing for 25 yrs, and finally my break has caught up with my playing. :cool:

Update

First session with breakRak got my break from like 18 to like 20.5. .........
Now just had 2nd session and I'm breaking 22mph consistently!!!!
My buddy, had the worst break I've ever seen, in the 16's mph and uncontrolled,...and now after 1 session with it, he's breaking 19 consistent and up to 22 here and there...WOW !!!

This thing is crazy !

I've changed mo M. O. ......don't get a breakRak ! Lol. I can't have everyone knowing all the secrets, lol
 
Outsville's RackSmith is coming....

The designs/engineering is completed.. Now I just need to perfect cloning technology to let me finish all the r&d products that Outsville is developing.... Tips are 99% done and Chalk is next...
