I recently posted a 2008 Keith Josey
Comes with predator shaft and original shaft
I gave 475.00 and a used action break cue for this package.
I don't need the cue so I decided to put on here to try to make
A small profit or at best break even.
But so far no luck ,not sure why.
Here is a link to my thread
http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=312060

Please can some one tell me the value or atleast tell me
If I'm out of line with price ,or maybe what I should get out of it thanks.

Couple problems here.

1. This was posted just yesterday. You need to give it some time to generate interest

2. You are bumping the thread multiple times a day. This will anger the mods and regulars and probably make them not want to click on your post

3. You need to embed the pics in your post. I personally would much
rather have all the information in front of me rather than having to click a bunch of hyper links

help with cue value

First off I'm wanting to sell cue within a day as the listing states
Second I did not intentionally bump the thread which was done it looks 3 times in the past 12 hours sorry,
Third I don't know how to post the pics on the thread kinda new to this
If someone wants to help with that I would appreciate it .
Now that being said I still would like to know the cue value because regardless I would like to sell today and be pretty fair .

Never gonna sell without pics... then you can list it as BEST OFFER, and that will tell you exactly what it is worth.......

cue value

The direct links to pics are there and plainly says click on links ,ans I'm sure I'm not the first to do this, and if someone would like to show me how to post the pics on the thread I would be glad to do so

Just trying to give you some constructive advice. I would say that if you need to sell it fast you can look at a pawn shop or slash the price even further.

Sorry I can't comment on the actual value of that cue. Its all in the eyes of the beholder. It will vary from person to person.

cue value

Actually it not it tells me file error every time I try that route ,I'm not computer illiterate, it has never worked for me since I have been an AZ member ,maybe my pc but have no clue

50-75% of what you paid if its in very good condition.

Keep in mind, it's a readily available production cue.

Wow CMD so a josey cue with 3 shafts one of those being a 314-2
Is worth 250.00 to 300.00
I'm sure everyone on AZ including yourself would put it up for sale for that price . lol

You asked for an opinion of value that would be sold in 24 hours. I gave it. You don't like it. Put it on eBay...

Dems da breaks kid...

I agree with CMD. I am not willing to pay more than 75% max of the purchase price of a production shaft or cue, and I am hoping to get it closer to 50%. If it is a custom, then that is a different story, and depends on the shape of the cue.

To sell it in a day, I think it needs to be priced at 60% of the original price or less. Why would I pay over 75% of the value of something used if I can buy it new for just a little more.

There really is no such thing as selling a used readily available production cue for a profit, especially in such a down market.

I have no idea your cue value but I'm going to help you with the pictures part.

Go to www.imgur.com

Find the pictures on your computer and open them in the windows explorer like so:

Then hold and drag the picture you want to post over to the imgur page and let go of the mouse. Then this will happen:

As noted on the picture copy the link that has the tag and paste it into your post.

BAM DONE!

i think a huge problem is that with the economy the way it is, its deffinatly a buyers market and alot of people dont have the extra cash the way they used to...

also, as many people as there are who like shooting with a predator shaft, there are just as many people who dont like shooting with them.. so having it as part of the sale doesnt help you very much..

your best bet would be to try and sell that shaft seperate from the cue... you may even get more...

cue value

ok the cue is sold but i still not understanding how that last reply to this post made any since , it was stated that about the same amount of people that like a predator shaft dont, so i should sell it seperate and would probably get more that makes no since at all ,what is the going rate for a predator shaft on ebay no matter if i like it or dont , if i didnt i would buy it with a cue and just sell it on ebay ,would make more since to me , all the predator shafts ive seen on ebay sell anywhere from 160.00 to 185.00 used
why would u not want to make extra money or use the shaft to knock of some of the cost of the cue , but no big deal its sold and if the buyer doesnt like the predator shaft he prob knows were to sell it

You can usually come out better on a lower value cue like that (by 'lower value' I mean, say $500 or less) by selling it with one orig shaft and the LD shaft(s) separately. That's the point I think he was trying to make. I happen to agree with him 100%, unless it's a cue with an oddball threaded joint screw.

yes Sean , thats what i am saying.. i for one dont usually look at cues with predator shafts.. i dont like them.. so you have your price adjusted for the amount what the value of the shaft.. the value of your shaft may be 150$ but alot of people that dont like them, wont pay that for them.. even if it was a deal or not.. but with that added cost on top of the price of the cue, alot of ppl stay away. even if something is worth the $$$ if its not something people want, they tend to stay away...

just because somebody has a a cue that cost 2,000 new, doesnt always mean you will get 1,000 for it if its not what somebody wants.. worth it or not..

also alot of people dont want to deal with buying something and then reselling part of it.. there is alot of risk involved and also alot of people dont want to put their money out on the line with the hopes you can profit on something..
