Looks like an older version of their Professional model. Almost certainly has three pieces of slate. No dymondwood though, those are hardwood rails. Good table...

Agree

I agree there was a room in my area that had those tables in the early to mid 90s.

Coming from someone who has never played on a Diamond those look like some mighty tight side pockets...

What is one of these worth? I have access to a similar one in a little rougher shape for $1200, is that a good deal?

Either way good looking table IMO.

$1200 would be a great deal. I bought mine bran new in 2007 for $6150/included shipping and setup.

Thanks for the info. I have access to this table with a diamond light. The wider light, but he said the light is for an 8' table. The table is a 9' . Any reason this wouldnt work on a 9'?

It is definitely a Diamond Pro Model, and if I had the $1200 and room for it you'd be lucky to beat me too it!!!

Black Cat

tough to play on

that was an early model that was very hard to play on, not like the current diamonds that play well, don't be surprised if you have a tough time running out with same layout:frown:

I just got done playing on one of these. It's truly a fine table, but I prefer a GC III with more shallow shelves that's right next to it (it was in use, it was Earl's triple shimmed one at Breakers in Greensboro, NC). Cause the GC is easier, lol.

Anyway, these Diamonds, albeit older - As long as the rubber is good, it's an awesome table. For $1200? Sign me up! Don't walk, RUN! These babies will last lifetimes if kept up.

Congratulations! From the looks of it this table is late 80's. Look underneath the rails they wrote 00xxx numbers on it. This will tell you the year it was made. Have the sub-rails extended, install Artemis Intercontinental K66, Pro Cut the pockets, new 860HR tour blue preferably and you are good to go! It will be one of the if not the finest playing table in NC... This table with the configs mentioned will play better than any Pro-Am or GCV. I'll take that over any dymondwood rail or fromica anyday.

Excellent find!

Great deal man

I have a 2000 model that looks like that, except I have brass legs. In Sevierville, Tn., they have 6 Diamonds that look just like that and they are late 90 models. My table is very tight, just like the ones in Sevierville. The one difference is those side pockets. I was told that my side pockets were made a little wider on my 2000 model, because the pros were *****ing that the side pockets were too tight on the model in your picture(just like the ones in Sevierville). That table is the nuts as long as the rails are true. My rails have played perfect since day one, but I've played on a couple like that where a rail or two was dead. That table is more than a steal if the rails play true. Happy shooting and expect to dog a lot more balls on that beast.

Looks just like the tables I learned to shoot on at pro billiards in charlotte. The were from a tourney in charleston or columbia, I think. Very challenging tables! Deep, deep pockets and super fast. Btw, the shelves was much deeper than todays version, especially the sides.
