Won local APA Top Gun yesterday

Thanks. No biggie though. Everyone has haters :smile: Those hating usually have never accomplished anything themselves. I suspect this is the caseoke:
For the most part, I started out in pool with the APA about a year before signing up here. Keep working hard and let em KYA. :thumbup: Most of them will be quick to pile up the crap, but only a few will bring a shovel. Also, consider the fact that most people never get past B player and are still quick to jump all over you.
congrats on your win. i have won our top gun tournament the last 2 years but your feat was harder to accomplish than mine. you played all levels in yours apparently but ours is broken into 3 brackets.
1. s/l 2's an 3's
2. s/l 4's an 5's
3. s/l 6's and 7's.
400.00 and a jacket huh ? i am envious... i got a 100.00 bucks and an entry into our singles regionals both times.
the 2nd trip to regionals i almost turned it into a trip to vegas. i went undefeated all the way to the finals . hill -hill last rack an i dog my last ball rattling the pocket and he runs out. :embarrassed2:

I honestly just love to play. I play BCA and played VNEA last season. I have only done 5 weeks last season and this seaon with APA. I like to format and would rather play sets than single games. Anyone can win one game. I just finished playing on 5 teams per week. That was a bit rough
Some people had it rough. There was a girl in the Top Gun as a 3. Clearly not a 3 but more like a 5. She played a few years ago and has many games in as a 2-3. She has practiced a lot during her time off and definitely improved. Everyone that lost to her was complaining to the LO about her skill level. It will change soon.

i play the following
sun night double jeapordy. - apa
tue night 8 ball travel . - apa
wed night in house money league - bcapl format
fri night scotch doubles double jeapordy. boy that was a mouthful lol. apa
sat afternoon double jeapordy - napa .. next session we will be going back to laggers choice. that is where whoever wins the lag gets to pick what game to play between 8 ball, 9 ball and 10 ball..... lotta strategy to pick which game to play. a lot of people have different handicaps for each format.
i have seen a lot of times where if you win the lag you would have a 5-3 race in 8 ball, 6-4 race in 9 ball or a 4-6 race in 10 ball. pick your poison .:grin-square:
sometimes i feel like giving up a night or 2 but just cant pull the trigger. just love playing pool.
i played a 3 in the last 8 ball tri cups who i had never seen before. i won the lag and broke dry. he ran 7 balls but could not pocket the 8 ball" tied up. i said damn !
i ran a few balls and played safe, ran a couple more and played safe but left him a window and he made the 8. i said damn again.he is already on the hill. i had to play smart as hell to win 4 in a row to win. one of the toughest matches i have ever won.

I find people sharing their experiences more enjoyable than post like yours where you criticize everything. Take a look at your post history. Grow up
Hi Bryan B, Great thread, you enterer a 51 player tournament and you won, thats not bragging, its called be happy and so thrilled that you decided to share the story with your AZ family and friends!
Weather its APA, Gambling or leauge nite we all play to win and winning feels good, so dont ever be afraid about winning and writing about it, no matter what anybody has to say about it!
