I'm a sucker for titlist veneers. Looks super! You doing a hoppe ring or matching rings in the butt sleeve?

After installing them , that's kinda what I was thinking , I might cut them off and add some color like the veneers . Still learning . thanks Jim

IMO they dont have to match exact, but a/the predominate color of the veneer should be part of the collar, can be a ring or perpendicular to the rings(cant think of the word its 2am here). there has to be something to tie them together-at a minimum the predominate color.

I absolutely love the points and rings, if didnt i wouldnt have spoke up. they are just disconnected, actually a old school nickel ring would look fantastic with those points and be less work, id suppose.

like i said thats my 2 cents, there is no right or wrong, the work is beautiful. and ive noted a improvement in your work over time, you have my respect.

Suggestions?

If your open to suggestions, I think what would look good is: a billet of mahogany and natural, sandwiched by magenta and teal on each side. And if I get a little specific, I think the thin veneer that cueveneer.com has, .024" thick with the billet cut at .048" thick. It would go like this: magenta, teal, billet, teal, magenta. In my minds eye it looks really good, in real life it may suck. If your going to cut out the ringwork you did then maybe mock this ring up. I do like the ringwork that you have but I think it needs to be in the buttsleeve also to tie it in through the cue. Just a thought,
Tom

Thanks I will explore some of your suggestions . If I was completely happy I would not have asked . Thanks Jim
