While Justin would be the official word for this, I'm going to say with pretty much 100% certainty that YES. It's like going to see a movie, then if you want, buying the DVD when it comes out.
Would it be possible for future productions to deinterlace the video?
Would it be possible for future productions to deinterlace the video?
Not sure what type of computer you have, but some movie players allow you to deinterlace the video 'on the fly'
while they play the video... I use Media Player Classic for this.
Other media players like VLC do it too.
It doesn't need a powerhouse computer/video card either, and the results look good.
It would be good if they're deinterlaced from the start but with the right software it won't be an issue for viewers.
I can look at the workflow to see if its possible. Vimeo processes the video when it gets it so I do not know if that would have an effect or not.
The HD stream is not a reduced frame rate going out from us. It goes out at 1500kbps 30 fps. What people get on their end is not in my control on a live stream due to many factors covered ad nauseam here over the years.
The VOD file is 1280x720 6000kbps at 30fps.
All of the major digital download services like iTunes and Amazon have moved to unlimited downloads for content you buy. Books, music, movies, TV shows: As long as they have the rights and the company is still in business, you can stream it or download it again, with no time limits. I'm surprised Vimeo isn't doing it too, and I bet they will in the future. Why is a one year limitation an issue? When you rent a movie it's $2 and you get it for one night, and its only two hours. You're getting 6+ hours of content for a year for $5.
Not to mention he's giving the ability to download it.
On the fly de-interlacing usually results in a loss in quality, the only proper way to correct this would be through motion based interlacing. Also, I assume that most people use would use the vimeo stream which does not have this feature.
Looking at the video, it seems to be only the overhead camera view (which I assume shoots in interlaced). Perhaps it would be less work/money to replace the top camera so that none of the video is interlaced to begin with.
My understanding of the bandwidth may be wrong, so please feel free to correct me. IIRC, the SD stream is 1/2 of the bandwidth of the HD stream. It makes sense to me that in going from the SD to HD since you are gaining 4 times the pixels the bandwidth requirement would increase four fold, except at 1500kps it is only approximately twice, thus losing half the frames.
How does bit rate have anything to do with frame rate? Each stream is sent with a different encoder on a different computer. They are completely separate. The only thing they have in common is they uncompressed video coming into them. If you want to get into this thats cool I'm willing to listen and will probably learn something but I would appreciate it if you start another thread or do it via PM.
No idea, which is why my comment was prefaced.
I was just relaying my observation, that based on the TAR chatroom alot of people were getting a reduced FPS stream. (One person, I believe cleary, said he was getting 30fps) So I was wondering if there could be something on your end.
I bought this match. Put it on download it has almost 16 Gb, download time 6 hours.
Great picture quality. Thanks TAR.
