Dr. Dave and SRV, messing with my mind

So, I settle in to watch Dr. Dave's 55-minute video of his Billiard University exam.

As usual, I put some music on the stereo at the same time. Stevie Ray Vaughan, my favorite.

But something is seriously wrong with my stereo. It's repeating the music with about a 3-second delay. I know electronics a little better than the average bear, but I can't imagine how that could happen. Just freakin' weird.

So I turn off the stereo. But I'm still hearing "Texas Flood" by SRV! Now, this is getting spooky. Since I don't want to miss any of the exam video while I'm trouble-shooting the stereo, I put the video on pause. I look back at the stereo because it's stopped echoing Texas Flood. Curiouser and curiouser.

I turn the stereo back on and it's working perfectly -- Texas Flood as it was meant to be heard. Ahh, relief.

Press Play on the video and the stereo goes on the fritz again with the damn echo but this time it's about 5 seconds ahead of the primary sound.

So I took a sledge hammer to the stereo receiver. Smashed it in a million pieces.

Oops.

I'm glad to hear you have good taste in music.

Do you plan to post your score (and videos) on the BU thread? Please do so if you take the exams.

Regards,
Dave

Let's save everyone the time and trouble, and just say I'm in the teens...and that's not in age!

Of course, if I play a little ZZTop while shooting, who knows what might happen.

Please reconsider. We need a low score posted so others won't be embarrassed to post their scores at the bottom of the list. Help us set the bottom sufficiently low.

Great ... now I'm going to have "La Grange" in my head the whole rest of the day. :o (Actually, that's not a bad thing, is it?)

Catch you later,
Dave

I will try to. It's really just a matter of finding the time. It's rare that I get the billiards room to myself (community center table). So it might take a while and shot over numerous sessions...but I'll get it done.
