Tar 35

30-19 Shane....he just made a difficult out look easy.
Dennis better get a good sleep.

Dennis has been uncomfortable with the table all night. If he can't get his break going he's gonna get steamrolled to 100.

Shane laying down a total ass beating. I don't know if I've ever seen a Pinoy just absolutely beat down like this.

Match is far from over, but if Shane plays like this nobody in the world can touch him, period.

Yeah, he was using that bridge a lot....looks like a Briana

34-19 Shane still rolling.

Wow I regret not being able to see this one tonight. I mean to just wallop Orcullo like that is other worldly even for Shane. Of course Shane knows from experience that absolutely no lead is safe against a player of Dennis' caliber in a race to 100.

Dennis didn't like it...gave the 'dead fish' handshake.
Tomorrow should be interesting.......
...and I won't be watching till Sunday...

Dennis started practicing his break immediately after the match.

What is a dead fish handshake?

Maybe certain guys figure there are half the germs transferred with a dead fish handshake vs a firm one. I still think the bow makes the most sense.

Giving your potential enemy your hand is foolhardy.

RE No Jump cue rule.

A break cue is not a jump cue.

Well..............it's a jump cue if used like one, i.e. for jumping.

Kind of like Strickland always saying he doesn't use a jump cue and then he has a much shorter cue that he went to often for jump shots.

My take...

I didn't see much until it was 12 -5 (my dam new hookup from laptop to Plasma).

Shane went into a funk (54 racks total were played) for @ 11 racks and Dennis cut the lead to 4, somewhere around 20-16. Shane had temporarily slumped in his chair, having taken risky/cocky shots. Then, for reasons unbeknownst to me, he flipped the switch and went animal. He closed out day one from there in amazing fashion.

I saw an increase in his power stroke tonight. Way to go go Kid!!!!

IMMEDIATELY afterwhich, as someone posted, Dennis went to practicing his break. With not much success....

Shane's break was vastly superior - which breeds run out confidence and probability.

Whomever guessed in TAR's $100 challenge it'd be Shane 35 - 0 ... That may have been the closest guess!
