"Sullivan and Son" is effing HILARIOUS!!! It has a perfect cast. If anyone hasn't seen it, ya gotta check it out.
Brian-Doyle Murray should get an award for this show. Perhaps we could get a Bill Murray cameo at some point? Roy Wood, Jr., Owen Benjamin, Ahmed Ahmed, Steve Byrne, etc. are all stand-up comedians "in real life", I believe. They have a great chemistry on the show. As for the redhead, Valerie AzyInn......she's a freakin' KNOCKOUT.
Anyway, I always notice the pool table in the background, but not as closely as you, Softshot. I'll try to see if I can catch them actually playing pool at some point. I do see people milling around it. Then again, a couple of banger shots would probably drown out the sound of the show's actual dialogue. Lol.
Btw, this is the 2nd season of "Sullivan and Son". I highly recommend everyone check out it out on Netflix (ok, I've never Netflixed anything in my life, but I'm going to ASSuME that it's on there) or set your DVR to catch the re-runs. It CAN be fairly racy AND racist (on purpose to get the issue out in the open), so might be NSFW and young kids.
It's on TBS. Here's the show's website:

It's probably one of the only current sitcoms that I actually can stand. It really is funny as hell. Maybe at some point, they'll have a token "pool episode", where it's a major plot theme. I could see them having Dan Lauria's character (the dad from "The Wonder Years" that always scared the crap out of me) being a old school hustler, since he's ran the bar for so many years. Maybe he sawed off some road players back in the day. We can only hope.
Anyone else watch it?
