I would say for an animated .gif to work, you would have to link to the source instead of just uploading the file. Just a guess.

See if this one animates for ya... (always liked this little gif).

Ok... someone please explain why my gifs are being converted to jpgs when I upload them to AZB?

It appears that you are putting the link in "attachements" when you are in a 'reply' screen ?

Instead of 'saving' the image prior to replying to the thread, right click on the gif and copy the image URL instead.

Then, when you enter the 'reply' screen, click the box to the right and down from the 'attachments' icon.
Instead of the paper clip, click the little picture of the mountains.

A box will pop up that asks for the image URL.

Paste the URL (that you copied earlier) in that box, and hit 'ok'.

Done correctly, you'll get some gobbeldy-gook that looks sort of like this in the message line:
http://thechive.files.wordpress.com/2011/08/funny-gifs-egg-man.gif[IMG][/B]

But when you hit submit, the above jumbled characters will produce the GIF:

A little old lady from Wisconsin had worked in and around her family dairy farms since she was old enough to walk, with hours of hard work and little compensation.

When canned Carnation Milk became available in grocery stores in the 1940s, she read an advertisement offering $5,000 for the best slogan.

The producers wanted a rhyme beginning With 'Carnation Milk is best of all.'
She thought to herself, I know everything there is to know about milk and dairy farms. I can do this!

She sent in her entry, and several weeks later, a black car pulled up in front of her house.

A large man got out, knocked on her door and said, "Ma'am,.....The president of Carnation milk absolutely LOVED your entry.....So much, in fact, that we are here to award you $1,000 even though we will not be able to use it for our advertisements!"

He did, however, have one printed up to hang on his office wall.

(Here it is:)

It is necessary for technical reasons that these warheads be stored upside down; that is, with the top at the bottom and the bottom at the top. In order that there may be no doubt as to which is the bottom and which is the top, it will be seen to that the bottom of each warhead immediately be labelled with the word TOP.

– British Admiralty, quoted in Applied Optics, January 1968
