That's a beauty, and I know a little about Ebony on Ebony cues...;)

Justin is doing some great work. Good guy as well, met him at the DCC this year.

You're right it's looking really good. Ill have to try and drop by the shop to see this one in person before you get it that is one beautiful cue. Plus then I can negotiate with J to put some finish on my cue.

It will probably be gone on Monday. Tuesday latest.

I won't see it then but it is great to see J has taken over the building business and is turning out cues. Don had a lot of talent too but seems to have lost interest. Too much fantastic wood kicking around the FCB shop to see someone not making dust outta it.

Annodizing is only the color.. they take the regular metal and add a electrical charge to it and the color is hardened to it.. its really popular in motorcycle parts and car parts.. and such..

although, i would imagine its capable of wearing off from constant rubbing..
aslo fades in direct sunlight over long periods of time..

here is a pic orf my motorcycle with some anodized metal parts, bolts and screws are common too..

chris

the blue and the gold in the first picture are anodized aluminum..

and the gold break and clutch levers are anodized gold in the second pic..

Thank you!

The cue will need another coat of finish, it's pretty humid out so the finish is a bit more finicky when there's moisture in the air. Hopefully it should be good to go on Thursday.
