Can a leather wrap cause a cue to appear warped or have a small rollout at the joint? Has anyone had experience with this?

If the wrap is put on badly enough, sure. Is it sticking out a ton or is it flush with the rest of the butt? If it is flush, you're not going to see a rollout from it.

I don't think it even has to be put on that badly, if it's not flush with the rest of the wood, I would think it would be pretty much impossible to make it an even thickness all the way around and even a tiny bit sticking out would cause a wobble. You'd have to really watch what happens when you roll it.

Even installed correctly some Lizard wraps can cause a bumping as it rolls because of the flat spots. If the wrap groove was off a little a normal leather wrap could cause some noticable wobble also.

Even if the contact cement is a touch thicker in spots it could cause it to look like a warp
