Nice.

Were the original shafts just junk? Were you able to reuse the ringwork?

Nice.

I have one original shaft that's 11.80 at ferrule to thin for my liking
But it's still straight......Steve made the rings to match that you see on thoes shafts

Thanks for the comments guys!

Here is my model G restored by Steve Klapp. The butt sleeve I had replaced with rosewood to match the points (the red plastic one with the window wasn't my style).I wanted to make this my player and would have liked to get one from palmer like this back in the day, but I was only a twinkle in my daddy's eye back then. I also had Steve make a pair of custom joint protectors, with Titlist veneers and black pearl to match. The icing on the cake for this package in an original Palmer case, which has been lined with blue pool table cloth.

I want to thank Steve Klapp for doing a wonderful job as usual, he is very talented and a pleasure to work with.

Steve also made me two shafts from his stash of outstanding old maple. they play great!!!!!!!! if you would like to order shafts like these visit his website at
www.klappcustomcues.com they are priced at 150!!!!!!!!!! super deal!!!!!

11.80...is not usable IMO.

I would have probably used the rings. I do that a lot on cues where the shaft is pretty much worthless.
