and it's in vegas too, right? hopefully then a better behaving audience than we europeans usually provide to the mosconi cup.. :blush: the brits gives us great players to the euro team but unfortunately not so polite audience.

I'm in NYC for a few days. I went over to Steinway last night. Great pool room. Many great players are in town already for the 14.1 tourney. Bustie, archer, shaw, wang can, kiamco. They had a mini 9 ball tourney going on. Got to see strickland play live for the first time. I don't know who won the tourney, had to leave before it was over. Anybody know who won?
Also, when I congratulated earl on the Mosconi cup, he said he didn't know if he made the team yet.

Great news for the European fan if Earl is back.

Seems kind of silly for Eric to make a comment that a hot woman would be out of CJ's league when CJ is clearly in a public relationship with a very nice looking and accomplished woman who herself might be able to crush Eric on the pool table.
I don't think I am wrong. Disregarding current relationships I'd bet that CJ would have a better shot at a hot woman than Eric would. But that's not even the real point is it?
The point is why is Eric dogging CJ? Seems like a lot of "man-crushing" going around.

Rodney Morris is the most marketable player in the modern era, so he will likely be on the Mosconi Cup's team. He's also got the best M.C. record, if my information is correct.

I thought I'd seen somewhere that Earl had the best US M Cup record. I just googled it, but nothing apparent to me came up. Not to mention, Rodney at the 2011 Cup didn't bring his best IMO. Not that I can imagine the pressure. With all due respect, sitting ringside when the match was in the balance late, I was disappointed - in his carefree quickstroke play vs Neils on day 3, calling Darren outside on day 2 IIRC, and his attitude. Not to say I don't have a ton of respect for him. At that point, in the moment, I was WTF'g. Maybe I am being too harsh. Here:

I appreciate that CJ. Didn't know of his personal issues at that time. Just sat ringside and WTF'd. I've seen Rodney play many times. Again, I have much respect for him. His US Open 10 ball victory comeback vs Dennis was history IMO.
Anyway, just saying - maybe someone can clarify - I think Earl has the best M Cup record. Rodney had a tough go of it in M Cup 2011 (as did a couple other US players) when the rubber hit the road. I hope this year as I sit ringside and the world is watching, he is able to fully focus and is at peace.
It's not that I dislike the Euro's, they're pretty damn cool blokes, I'm just wanting the US to bring their best and knock Euro's d1*k in the dirt and BRING BACK THE CUP!!! :thumbup:

already stated that Johnny, Earl, Corey and Rodney are on the team? Thereby leaving just the captain and 5th player TBD?Hatch would be a good 5th IMO. If the captain could glue these guys together for ALL 4 days, I wouldn't want to be on their opposing team. That's a bad ass set of dudes. Daz and Chris and company could go have some spiked Yorkshire pudding afterwards at the Mirage.

With my involved it will help the chance of negative drama quite a bit. Through the many years I've developed a unique type of relationship with them and we all respect each other. Sometimes drama is simply because of lack of management and a clear "Mission Statement". Last year was ok, but could have been better if I knew then what I know now about how the team synergy is created - it's not necessarily "common sense".
I'm talking business as well as competition, believe me, these guys want to win more than they want to argue or create "drama". The Captain is not in charge of player selection, however, I would not make my selection based on fear of drama.....quite the contrary my dear Watson. The nature of this competition may actually require it.
