That is what several on here that I respect have recently told me.
I'm starting to get it.
But it's sort of like turning the asylum over to those that are committed.
But if that is what AZB management wants. So be it.
I guess it is all about the numbers & not about 'right or wrong'.

You got to have the killer instinct to be successful at pool, and to some people that comes off as being mean, because you can't let the other guy up when he's down or he might just beat you. You can't let up, not one little bit, or you might end up being the loser. What do pool players call 2nd place? 1st loser.
Which reminds me of an experience I had at the Derby a couple of years ago. I am a big fan of watching the pro pool players play and always try to get a good seat in the bleachers at the tv table which is usually right next to the isle. There was an older guy, obviously a player, who was trying to explain to an older, well dressed couple what was going on in the game on the tv table, and they were standing next to where I was sitting. I saw and heard the woman turn to the guy explaining the action and say, and I quote " This is the meanest group of people I have ever been around. " I will never forget that. It also explains why the wife of the pool player who asked why she never wanted to go to the pool room with him said " Why would I want to spend time in a room full of men, with Texas sized egos, that are trying to dominate each other. " How we appear to others is something that we should think about if we want to grow the sport of pool and billiards IMO.
