Just so you know, with you being new and not having an itrader track record, most if not all people here are going to either require you to ship your cue to them first, before they will ship theirs out to you. So don't take offense to it, its the correct thing to do on their part... Or, you can use an Escrow service from one of the people on AZ who provide their services for a fee...

Dave-Kat.....please do not take any offense by some of the posts you may receive, as there have been an inordinate amount of scammers on here as of late, and you may look ready for the pickin's, being new and all.
If you find someone willing to do a trade, do yourself the favor and spend the few extra bucks, and use an escrow service, like FAST_N_LOOSE aka Marcus Solt. If the preson willing to do a trade is legit, they will have no issue with splitting the escrow cost with you. I say this, because as a long time member, there are very very few members on here that I would trust to send out a cue to first. With escrow, both members involved in the trade ship their cues/money to the escrow service first. The escrow service then will inspect both cues, to make sure that condition given is factual, and that both members are completing their end of the deal, in good faith. If all is as it should be, as determined by the escrow service, then the service will forward the cues/money to the respective members. If all is not as it should be, the escrow service will return your item to you. You may be out the few dollars you spent for the service, but you won't be out your cue.
Typically what will happen is that if the prospective trader is in fact scamming you....they will balk at using an escrow service, and attempt to get you to go some other course...all in an effort to scam you out of your cue/money as quickly and as easily as possible. Getting satisfaction at that point is typically nil.
We have a few prolific scammers here that change monikers as often as they change their underwear...and while we try very hard to keep track of them, we can't always stay on top of it. If you are unsure about someone contacting you, feel free to start a thread and ask...or even PM a long time member directly. We're usually pretty helpful.
Oh yeah...as far as I am concerned, iTrader guarantees NOTHING. We have had members here with great iTrader ratings...and then they sting someone HARD. Better to ask than to put blind trust in iTrader ratings.

While I agree with most of the above, I do take a persons Itrader into account to a certain degree on deals that involve some trust.. I just dont feel the need for an escrow for any deal under a few hundred dollars (unless the other party wants to pay for it, then its no problem)... Trades are kind of a grey area for me, but my trades on here have never been above a few hundred dollars either way... If a member that I know quite well (not personally, but through AZ interactions) wants do do a quick trade for a couple of items we have, with a value of maybe $200 each way, I have no problem doing it.. But if my item was say a cue with a value upwards of 1K, then I would most likely opt for the escrow no matter what...
But like I said, I agree with the vast majority the advice given here by Lisa....

It is a mint Vintage 12 x 12 O'Neil 'Dealer case I am speaking of. Don't think I will send it off. I have real good pics to post with detailed description to go with. EBay is a good option as I have a 14 year 100% F/B rating both buying and selling.

It may be booting you for trying to post pictures. I thought there was a 10 post requirement for that. Honestly, if you have a good Ebay rating, you may be best off using your Ebay rating and not posting pictures here, but just posting a link to your ebay sale in the For Sale/Trade section. While frowned upon by some, I believe the powers that be said that is allowed. Remember that there is a 48 hour bump rule in that forum, so don't go crazy trying to bring attention to your post.
Heed the advice of others, you will either be viewed as a target for scammers or as a scammer yourself, it comes with being a new account unfortunately.
