Richard Black 8 pointer...

a friend of mine has this Richard Black 8 pointer..
its signed and dated for 97....

really interesting cue, i never seen a joint like this..

it looks to be a full side phenolic joint the same exact size as
a steel joint.. it also is flat face and is a 5/16x14 pin...
2 shafts, ivory ferrules and is in mint condition...

check it out... it may possibly be for sale....

That in my opinion is a unique cue the fact that it is a Richard Black, a 8 pointer with no inlays,and the flat face 5/16 joint. I love the look of that cue.

as far as i know.. everything is original.. my friend said he bought it new... and i imagine because its one of the dated ones, it was ordered that way and there should be a record of it.. maybe i will try to contact richard black..

i would have deffinatly bought it from him if it was steel or ivory.. i prefer a piloted joint...

just got an email back from Richard Black, he said the joint is very original to the cue....

it occurred to me after i posted this thread.. i should have posted kist the joint picture only and said name this cue..lol.. i think it would have been a hard one..lol

I would have started guessing things like Minnesota Fats, Sportcraft, Aska, etc

If the cue is to be sold either print out the e mail or get something in writing from R. Black.A friend of mine has a Mottey that does not have Paul's signature anywhere on the cue and several people have decided against buying it.In today's tough market every little thing helps.
