I want to welcome back Earl Strickland to the Mosconi Cup. It has been a long time my friend. It has not been the same without you there. The American team is a star studded cast this year. Everyone on the team is at the top of their games at the present time and we ALL want that cup back in the USA where it belongs. There will be a lot of great playing this year and of course a little bit of drama. This will be a Mosconi Cup that you won't want to miss. With the latest edition to the European team in Mika Immonen it will be a tough road to the winners circle for Team Usa. That's why we need all the support from you wonderful fans. I challenge you to rally behind the USA team and help us bring this cup back to America where it belongs. I don't know about you but i am ready to go kick some European ass. GO USA!!! I would love to see a team with the good old fashion personalities.

Like Allen Hopkins, Keith, Earl, Buddy, Johnny, and we can throw in CJ of course. Bring them all back one more time.

Sometimes winning isn't everything, but all these older players know how to win.:thumbup:
 
thank goodness......thank you very much for the report! he has been shooting awesome as of late and if he continues, then the addition of earl to the team will be most beneficial, not counting the ratings! :thumbup:

It's Great to have Earl back where he should be.

But Remember. Fire & Ice do not mix well together. They depreciate the effects that each can have.

Everyone can't play at the same level of Fire as Earl. Some play better cool, so cool that they can Freeze you to death.

Fire & Ice. Don't let them affect each other negatively.

The Best of Luck & I Hope you ALL play well.

Send them home without THE CUP!

I think all Team USA fans should blow on a kazoo when Team Europe walks out.

When Team USA walks out, they can play Hail to the Chief(s)! :cool:
 
This is going to be a wild and crazy cup! Johnny - PinkLady, I and others are trying to coordinate the US attendees to wear similar colors, pick a chant, pick a song, and anything else posssible to win the battle of the rooters. Any ideas from anyone is encouraged!

Last time in Vegas, the rooting blokes from across the pond got the better of us. Can't let that happen again!!!


Chant: USA, ALL THE WAY
Song: We will, we will rock you! (stomp feet on "rock you!")
Shirt color: Red or blue? Renfro (Chris is looking into shirts at cost)
Signage: anyone with a crayon and paper, bring it!

JAM just mentioned getting kazoos - great idea!!!

Bring the noise, bring the rain!
 
Great to see the Pearl back on the Mosconi Cup team. The press release here says it has been 6 years since he last was a member of the MC team

I recall Earl being quoted as saying he could defeat team Europe Single-Handed from a presser at Malta prior to the 2008 Cup. Either way its great for Earl and pool to have the Pearl back on center stage.
 
Team USA members need to get a nice outfit for the 20th Mosconi Cup. They need to plan ahead and do so now.

I'm not a big fan of Earl by any means, BUT...

I will be rooting for him now!

With Archer, Rodney and Hatch you have very seasoned people. And I think SVB shows maturity and poise beyond his years. My thinking is that if Earl does get rambunctious, if any crew can handle it, this one can. If Earl starts getting too far out there, they can reel him in hopefully, while not letting it distract them from playing their best pool.

I do hope that Earl treats the members of team Europe with the respect that they deserve.

When Earl is JUST playing, I love to watch him.

For the fans, only Red, White, Blue, Or a combination allowed in the arena.

If, you're wearing any other color go to the bar & drown your sorrows cause you're not getting in.:wink:

Earl is certainly one of this century's greatest pool players. It's a thrill to have him back on the Mosconi Cup team this year. Regardless of whether the USA wins, loses or draws, we'll be seeing some outstanding pool. Good luck Earl and Team USA.

What time of day will the matches be played? I hope at night. I've had to miss the action in the past because I have to work during the day. Hopefully it is at night and that it will be streamed.
