my cue got a new paint job

With the black joint collar and bottom of the butt cap being black, easily the black leather. If not for these two sections of the cue a brown leather wrap would have ignited the points, but, think the black leather is the choice to bring out the ends of the cue. Nice job, much better than the linen. Of course, my opinion only.

I think a more brownish leather would be best for that color cue, but I don't like huge contrasts in my cues. My cue has points but they blend into the forearm wood so well, you almost have to look at the cue closeup to see it.

Aside from the leather color, I agree with the others, leather looks better on it now.

Here's mine. I voted for leather also. The pic is not good. The (lizard)leather looks real good in person.

The leather definitely looks better but primarily because of the color. It looks good, but to me the best option would have been a linen wrap that approximated the tone of the darker wood color....maybe a brown with white or tan speckle. The idea is to pull the two sections of dark wood together. The original linen and the black leather both separate the dark wood sections.
