How are the give-a-way's selected?

I became Gold for other reasons, but this thread just made me remember the give-a-way's.

Not 100% sure of anything these days due to Old age memory, but when I got my sub, I believe that it said it was recurring unless you stopped it.

All the Az give aways have been super and I wouldn't turn down one of these Predators as an early Christmas present.

Umm, we are still allowed to say the word Christmas on this board aren't we?

The same happens to me. I have been Gold for several years, and the only way I know it has lapsed is when someone notifies me in a thread that they can't PM me because I'm out of space. (The Gold members have more PM space).

I'd be totally cool with an automatically recurring charge like many companies do. Or a reminder PM automatically sent, with a link that takes you directly to a renewal page.

Darn, now its bugging me. I haven't been Gold for long but I swear that I remember reading
when I Pay Paled my payment that it said they are now recurring memberships.

I hate it when I imagine things, somethings I'm right and sometimes, I'm wrong.
