I believe Amateur Pool is alive and well. To promote the game, I believe if more groups on Facebook were started...a place where you can look to see where to play in tournaments, I think amateur pool will grow.

Use the same title as this Facebook group, and just change the state at the end, it would make it easy to find tournaments in case you were traveling, or, just wanted to play somewhere new against people you don't know.

Easy...start a group and just change the name of the state at the end. You can even make it a central, southern, or northern part of a state.

Think how easy it will be to pick a place to play. Wednesday rolls around and you think..."where do I want to play this weekend?" And there it is! Just check out the tournaments sites for each state.

This is an idea that will work all across America. Pool is alive and well in PA!:smile:

LOL...actually hardly anyone out there in the pool world goes on this forum.:frown:

I can go to pool league where there are 20 players and none ever heard of this site.

The AZB community is a very small community compared to all the League players across the USA.

Yeah...I see it now, you list a tournament and within 5 hours it would be on page 10 of the tournament page.:speechless:


Do you really want me to advertise a weekly $10 tournament at Joe's Bar in PA so people from California can see it?

there is also a group we used called tournament chasers on facebook...... literally amazing how much social networking does for the tournament communities

Yeah it's still on Facebook but it's kind of useless if you live in PA and just want to shoot in PA tournaments. Most of the tournaments on that website are just too far away.

That's why I'm saying someone in every state should start a group called AMATEUR pool Tournaments in _______ and just put in the name of the state.

That would make it easy to find tournaments in that particular state that you want to play in.:)
