Does anybody have any experience using Wood Juice on spalted wood? I have some insanely figured and colored oak that I discovered hiding in a piece of firewood. I cut several pieces out. I set them aside to dry, but many started to crack the next day. I managed to catch about 8 of them before they came apart. I soaked them with Wood Juice for lack of anything else and left them in the bucket over night. Does anybody have any idea how effective this stuff is? Is shellac of any use in this application? The remainder of the wood that hasn't been cut I hosed down with shellac and it soaked it up like a sponge.

When I get wet spalts or burls I coat liberally with Anchor Seal wax and wrap
in plastic food wrap. If they are large pieces I cut into 2 x 2's otherwise they take years & years to dry slowly.
