Which butt? What do u think?

So I've got a schon Stl4 that just sits around cuz I love my ob shaft been thinking about selling my ob sneaky with classic and buy classic shaft for the schon! What I'm wanting too know is if the schon and ob will give a better hit or anything better at all? Well besides looking better? Just wanting too know if its worth it or idk thanks all

Witch butt? I'd hit that...

Seriously though, the butt doesnt make much of a difference in hit. Trading in your ob cue for a shaft doesnt make make much sense and you'll probably regret it later.

Witch butt?

When I read the title, I was hoping for something more like this:

You'll get mixed feelings on this but I believe that the Schon butt will provide
a stiffer hit. I've actually just tried this combo and really liked the crisp hit
when the shaft was on the Schon.
Some guys will say you can't feel the difference, but a steel joint vs phenolic
joint is a big difference as far as how the shaft feels after hitting the ball.
I'm a sensitive kinda guy:smile:

if you like ob shafts get one for the schon
you get the best of both worlds
a shaft that you like how it plays and a cue butt that feels good in your hands

Yea that's what I was kinda thinking that and the stl4 looks better then the sneaky too me anyway my main thing would be the balance I wounder how that would be

Witch butt Is what you get when your broom has a rough handle.

Eric >I'll be here all week

OB shafts aren't a super-light shaft like some of the LD shafts out there.
I've always thought Schon makes a well-balanced cue and there butts are
are well made. You should weigh the OB shaft and the Schon shaft. If there
close in weight then the balance will be just how you like it but with the shaft
you like. Its a win -win for you.
Get the cue set-up you really want, so when your at the table you can concentrate
fully on the game without any worry about the equipment your using. When you
start worrying about equipment, a part of your brain will start melting.
Trust me, mine has been melting for years:smile:

Yea I'm gonna have too try that also idk if u know is the schon butt bigger then the ob? Cuz I do like the smallness of the ob butt not too big feels good in the hand

Schon butt will probably be a little larger, especially if it has a wrap. Most cues with a
wrap are usually not dead- flush with the wood and may stick out a bit, especially
if its a leather wrap. If the OB is wrapless which I'm guessing it is, you may feel
difference in circumference but nothing major.
Your biggest concern will be balance and feel of the cue. IMO these 2 criterias
are the biggest for me when I choose a cue to play with.

Yea balance is biggest for me that and feel of hit I like the firm crisp hit

Only cause it's which butt, not witch butt.

When ya type that stuff, us dummies can't tell which witch is which. :scratchhead:

Yea I know and I would have changed it but I don't know how I do all this from phone and didn't even think about it I'm a dummie

If you like the balance of the Schon cue how it is, make sure to weigh the schon shaft and buy an ob shaft with the same weight.

If you get a shaft that is lighter or heavier it will change the balance and you may not like it as much. OR if you feel the balance of the schon needs changed, you can purposely buy a lighter or heavier shaft to change it.

Knew I was gonna get hit with jokes on this one

You mean you spelled it wrong on purpose? :scratchhead:

Honestly, you won't know if you'll like the Schon until you try it. A friend has a Schon with a Predator shaft and it works well. Try it out and let us know.
