Case maker recommendations

When we are unable to maintain our 30 day turn around, we stop taking orders.

I honestly thought you were done taking orders all together.

I'd get one of Jack's while he's still in the game then. I will have to find a way to talk the wife into it now... What to do, what to do?

Take me off your list. Although you are anonymous to me and can certainly order a case without me knowing it I would prefer not to make you a case. And we both know that this thread of yours is simply another way to troll me.

If you want a list of good makers you can find it at my site here http://www.jbcases.com/aboutus.html at the bottom of the page.

And here on my site you can see images of cases made by other good makers

Any of them still active would be happy to have your business. Even if you were serious about buying a case I don't want your order.

That's the huge problem with custom cases. To keep everything from becoming a production, it takes time... a lot of time.

I'd love to get a nice simple leather case in the $400 range, but I don't want to wait 2 years. Waiting for cues to be built is as much as I can handle lol

I am coming to NOLA next week probably. if so then you can probably find a case in the price range you like with no waiting.

:-)

I like this policy!

Currently have an order in with one of the previously mentioned case makers which was supposed to have almost no wait time. We're currently at 4 months after the 100% (non-refundable) deposit was made and no artwork has been produced yet.

However, what I want to be made is a bit different from his other works and the price was unbeatable. So I wait...... And wait.....

Just to clarify, this order is NOT in with us.

Damnit John! Good thing the wife doesn't see my bank account transactions!

Just curious.....how much rage is measured by "A Flock of Seagulls"???

Maniac

A flock is not made up of a specific number. We can say, its made up of a group, or many. They live, travel, and feed together as a group. Still, there is no specific number that constitutes a flock.

And my case on order is not with JB cases, his statement is 100% accurate.

It's a shame some case makers are poor at getting their names out there for the pool playing public. At least some good has come from this thread - you know Jack is still taking orders. I thought he'd quit, too.

Good luck with the missus.

I sure do like my Justis case...but I'm USA all the way. The case & every cue in it...made in the USA.

Good to know Jack is still making cases...

Those who are interested know who the active case makers are.

Except for the interior which is 100% made in China.

Yes, but unlike yours our interiors do not put a death grip on the cues every time they are put in and removed from the case and even with minimal padding they seem to have come out better than the UltraPad interior in the slow motion video drop test you so proudly displayed last year at the SBE.

After being in business for 24 years, working 7 days a week including holidays trying to stay up to date on orders, one has a tendency become stealthy. The only advertising we have done over the past 20 years is from many world champions that carry and represent out cases at most of the major tournaments. All of our cases are made one at a time. We tried Chinese mass production one time and they reneged on their first payment. So now you know the whole story. We will be at the SBE in booth #402 in the cuemakers section. with a limited number of cases for sale. Another year of so and that will be it.

Here are a few pictures of my Justis case that I use to this day :)

Well anyone is free to compare our interiors with yours at the Super Billiards Expo.

I will have one of your cases and some cues. As well I have your interiors and ours and people can decide for themselves.

In fact if you want to come to my booth then we can debate it in front of an audience.

Nothing to debate here. It's easy enough to see in your video.

:-) um, ok, the funny part is that there is no sound. When the customers come to our booth we can do the demonstration and they can hear the difference. In your case it sounds like the cues are breaking and in our case there is silence.

Silence because of padding. Padding which protects the fragile cues entrusted to the case.

Padding similar to what is used in cases in every other hobby and industry in the world to protect gear during transport. Music instruments, dolls, guns, computer equipment, cameras, etc... all protected with padded cases.

Only Jack Justis decides that high end cues do NOT need a proper amount of padding to protect them.

For you thin nylon is enough. The clanking sound of cues banging into each other is of no concern to you. The funny part is that if I were send out some cues in a cardboard tube wrapped only in the thin nylon you have used in your cases then the day after the cues arrived the receiver would be splashing it all over AZB about how bad the packaging was.

No, when ANYONE sends high end cues out they wrap the cues in bubble wrap and make sure they can't move. But you Jack decide that every time the car hits a pot hole the cue should bang against each other, every time the case gets knocked over the cues should bang against each other, if the case is inverted the cues should fall out, that's all ok with you.

Well it's not ok with me. And it's not ok with all of your customers who have had their interiors upgraded to ours. Which we will also be doing at the show again. For $65 anyone who agrees with my method of cue protection and owns one of your cases can have your look and our protection.

Couple more videos for you.
