help ID vintage Viking cue

I have this Viking cue, made around 1985. the name Viking is encased under clear acrylic. I would like to know the model number and any other info about it. thanks for any help. Ron

I had that Viking in a different color but it was more 1970s. What kind of joint?

It's in the blue book, I'll look it up if nobody else has done it when I get home.

I have that same cue too. It was a Christmas Gift in about 1990, different color though - Magenta and Charcoal (don't you love those colors...)
Mine is a 5/16 X 18, looks like brass, flat face straight as an arrow in pristine condition.
I never use it any more, but I love that cue

Is magenta pink? Mine was pink with an implex white joint.

Great cue

Mine was a Christmas gift also. My dad had to brave a buffalo snowstorm to shortstop the mail carrier as deliveries were suspended in order to get it in time. I miss that man.

That's either a X90 or a Z90 Viking cue. I think they were both introduced in Viking's 1974 catalog with a MSRP starting at $90. I think mine was a little over $100 with the upgrade to an implex joint.

They are not super collectible or valuable except I'd be a pretty good lay down for a pink one, and an absolute go-off for the one with my name in it.

There are guys on AZ far better equipped at evaluating (and identifying for that matter) this cue.

Is magenta pink? Mine was pink with an implex white joint.

Magenta is kind of a deep pink color; a little darker than true pink.

I have a similar one in green, it doesn't have the inlays though. It was new in 1981.
