Who wrote what we know as the bible and does it contain everything translated from the original bible?

I am a non believer and on occasion have gotten in religious conversations with friends. I always ask the same question and have never heard a good answer. So I will toss it out there. I do not mean to offend anyone. If God created earth and man in his own image. Why did he put dinosaurs on earth millions of years before man? For those that don't know. Dinosaurs and man did not exist at the same time.

That's hilarious. I've always wondered why he does that. I'm always looking at old threads and wonder what he had to say. I enjoy reading his posts when they don't regard religion.

Whenever some1 mentions the G-word I ask which god are you referring to.Its all silly superstition meant to scare children and not really even worthy of a discussion.

funny ...... I'm sitting her watching the news and the story is about a Pastor who raped a parishioner and more charges are expected as she wasn't the only victim.

Well, at least he can pray and be forgiven and still get into heaven. :rolleyes:

The short answer is: We don`t know.
The originals we do have are mainly written in Greek, Hebrew and Aramic.
The earliest manuscripts we have have been dated to 125 A.D. But the majorety of manuscripts we have come much, much later.
If you find this interesting (as i do) I highly recomend Bart D. Ehramans book: Misquoting Jesus and Jesus interrupted.

And ten years ago, no charges, just moved to another parish, to do it again.
