Yeah... I know, It's the arrow and not the indian:rolleyes:

Anyhow I am looking to have a cheap cue that I can throw in the trunk of the car and leave there since my high end player is showing some finish pops from subjecting it to the rigors of heat in cold....

I figured for the price I would pick up one of the r-360s like Shane's..... I have looked for a matching extension like the one in the picture but am finding nothing that has the silver ring

Anyone know the deal on that?... I am thinking it may be a mezz extension he has had someone modify for him.....

Here's some...

I've been told that Shane's cue is highly customized...

That's not a silver ring on the extension, that's the buttcap. Shane really is an off the shelf cuteec player. I don't think cuetec actually makes the smart extension anymore, but can easily be found on eBay and other such places. I suggest you buy two if you can because then you'll have the option of six, or twelve inches. I had to modify the bumper on mine to make it work, and I believe Shane just removed his.

I find it amusing that everyone is just now noticing Shane playing with the extension, because i believe he used it in the 2013 Bigfoot as well. He just didn't take it off after this year's Bigfoot.

Here is a pic of mine.

shane's cuetec sponsorship

anyone know what shane gets out of his cuetec sponsorship, besides equipment?

Got the Cuetec and the 2 extensions... OMG Where to start.... The tolerances on the butt sleeve and rings make Meucci look like German Watch Makers... The hole drilled into the butt sleeve where the extension screws in is so crooked that with bth extensions screwed in there is an entire inch of daylight at the end of the 2nd extension and the table when rolling it... Well thats sort of a lie I guess since the butt actually is off the table before the extension is added... But it's balaced out by the fact that the tip comes off the table at the same time......

It also showed up brand new to the house with 3mm nick out of the finish on the butt sleeve clear thru to what ever wood they started with... Thanks Ozone....

I guess for a cue to take to the bar and not have to worry about being stolen I have a winner..... I think I might be hoping someone steals it tonight.......

Only thing custom on that beater is all the dents he has put in it over the years. I've hit with the cue with and without the extension. Without it its pretty bad. With it its bearable.

The shaft is thinner and more tapered than stock but thats more a factor of wear than anything deliberate. Shane is far from a cue guy. Its all about performance for him. If the cue feels good to him and he is confident in it then thats all that matters. Getting paid to play with one helps too.

I asked him what it weighed with the extension and he had no clue. Didnt care. Before one tournament I saw him pull the heaviest damn weight bolt I have ever seen out of his cue and play with nothing in there at all. Had to be a two or three ounce difference. He did it because a couple of other pro's said the cue was too heavy. I gave him shit about that one for a long time.

There really is no better proof of the indian>arrow argument than him.

Truer words have never been spoken.

Which cuetec did you get?

You must be real unlucky. I have bought an R 360 from Ozone about 3-4 years ago and an extra shaft 2 weeks ago. Cue and shafts are fine and I have left the cue out on the porch overnight more than once. I never heard of a R 360's butt warped. I would send it back and get a new one. You are the first I've heard that didn't like the r 360. Trying a warped cue is not really giving it a good try. I don't own stock in Cuetec LOL, but I'll give props to a good product when I buy one...like the MR and Ridgeback Rails. Johnnyt

The cuetec extension has been around for 10 YEARS!! Lol one of he first I think

You missed what I quoted. I quoted the picture of two extensions screwed together. I've had a few cues now, with built in extensions. None of them cuetec, though.
