I still couldn't believe I followed a 1pocket match for 8 hours

I think John gave away some key shots cheaply, which cost him many games. I thought when he made the bank to get back 5-6 he would go on to pull 6-6, but he made a nasty shot that his opponent would never think of. it went bad for him. 6-8 is tough now.

John is tough enough to cling on though, against an opponent with clearly more 1pocket shots than him.

Come on John, it's shot by shot now, dont lose your focus.

Thanks for the streaming. I just want to say though, that it's a weird coincidence that every time I've started the stream I've seen an ad for Cheese...

THANK YOU, for this match! i don't even watch KK9 play 1P. but this, was interesting tonight. i have a whole new respect for the game.

the stream was impeccable. i too, thought it was freezing @ Lou - when he was so still. (you might want to speed up the audio, cause by 10pm, the commentators sounded as if they were slurring their words when talking about BYOB laws....)

can't wait to blow-off another afternoon of work today @ 4pmEST!

What did everyone think of Jamison's commentary? Claims to have made 46 trick shots in a row and ran 199 in straight pool. Pretty strong...

Thanks for the stream, from what i saw in two hours that i watched in evening, it looks like John just got started one pocket, passed many many shots normally are shot in one pocket; missed many make-able shots, attempted many none shootable shots in OP, his stance and stroke could use some help, jumps up. Lou on the other hand looked steady, runs balls well, knows the game much more. Am i right, or was John shooting very well when match started, and i saw him when he is tired?

I did not see the stream, but I think Lou plays one-pocket regularly; whereas, John plays rotation games as well as one-pocket regularly.

Congrats to JB for taking this match to day 2. From all I have heard he is the underdog and he is showing some heart. He will have to start well on day 2 to win this match i did not watch any but it sounds like a grind if he can get to the hill the last game should prove to be interesting to say the least.

Lou is definitely NOT a good one pocket player. Average at best, but that's fine when your opponent isn't good either.

I wonder what the odds are (if it goes hill-hill) that either player asks to double the bet?

No. Barton started appallingly, with Lou running the first two racks in no time. According to the commentators, Barton was shaken by some heckling from the crowd lol. Barton stole a couple of racks to stay in touch and I fell asleep when it was 6-3, so am surprised it was 8-6 at close of play. Despite being utterly woeful at pool, Barton still has a chance.

His stroke and stance do not need 'help'; they need their own prime time TV show. That boy is magic. Oh to be a fly on the wall of his next conversation with Stan Shuffett...

Actually, his stroke was not bad at all. What were you watching? I thought he would still have that "chicken wing" , but that was gone. I was hoping it would still be there cause I bet on Lou...... but he plays decent.. no doubt about that... but not Lou's speed.

Neither one can play , at least Lou didn't show up looking fat and sloppy with his shirttail hanging out.

I thought he was the best I heard. Seems a nice fella and one of the few that gives back to pool. I was disappointed his efforts didn't get more recognition on here when I read about them a few years ago, and it seems nothing has changed since. Meanwhile, Barton gets a million views, a thousand supporters and a hundred sales. Strange...

One commentator, who shall remain nameless, was truly terrible, clearly having never seen a pool table before in his life, let alone know the difference between a miscue and a deliberate foul. I'd never watched a one pocket match before yesterday, and even i was better able to predict shots than he. They all seemed to have perfected the art of talking over each other constantly, making what they were actually saying even more annoying. There is simply no need to talk endlessly. Cue sports are the one thing where dead air space actually adds value.

Give the options. Say good/bad shot. STFU. Easy.
