Ouch that really hurt><
One thing I learned from this match, is to come up with a game plan, and stick to it.
You did a good job doing what it takes to win without getting unnecessarily aggressive, and you won it going away.
Nice job
Ted
If he doesn't care for Ted then I don't care for him and he can't sit at our lunch table.
Thanks, Gary.
You know, I have talked, texted, emailed, or PM'd with probably several dozen people in the last 24 and one of the common themes has been that it was uber cool to watch two average guys battled it out for a good sized bet. People said they could relate to the pressure, dealing with the crowd, the stream, the misses, the struggle to make shots and keep your mechanics together. IOW, people could empathize much more with John and/or I than when watching SVB or Efren or Earl rocket balls in from everywhere and play flawless position.

more grudges!
Yes it was cool to watch. You played real well. I really like how you stay down and stay so still and never flinch until you have delivered a good stroke on the cue ball. I knew the Iceberg would come through for me. It shouldn't have been that close. Several times there JB shot a skyrocket and you ended up in a weird predicament, when he got very lucky rolls. You showed lots of patience and there were a couple of times I wish you had showed even more. That may have cost you one game I am thinking about and you missed a couple of balls you were not suppose to, but not nearly as many or as easy as the shots that the system man missed. Very proud of how you held up. All of his coaches and gimmicks and mugging=FAIL FAIL FAIL. And the $500 a game was supposed to be locked in done deal part of the agreement, so he should ship that $1,500 right away if wants to be known as a stand up guy, and if he wants more people to order any more of those chinese cases from him...
There is a story behind why I played the style I did. More on that later.

I was very impressed with your temperament. You never changed nothin'.

Lou,
Can't wait to hear your full write up. I missed all of the lead in to this match, but ended up watching almost all of the play. After the first 2 racks, I'll admit, I started rooting for the underdog JB, and it was a hell of a thing to watch.
Make sure in your write up to hit:
1. Your first foul... interesting way to start a $20k match
2. The late night play, it looked like you guys were both wearing down
3. Whatever the hell was going on on the sidelines. Heard rumors, but...
It wasn't a foul btw.

Great match. Great venue. I can't think of one thing I could complain about except I should have eaten something earlier.
I think Pat recorded it, so maybe it will be available.
The decision to watch it live was one of the better choices I've made.
Freddie <~~~ eating at Popeye's on the NJ Turnpike wasn't
What was your take on Eric getting thrown out? He says he didn't do anything to justify it.
I thought his hand brushed a ball?
