Cindy has MS. Back on January 23rd was the last time we played until yesterday. On the 25th, a bad episode...it was as if her spine had been cut. Nothing worked from above her waist down.
Off to the emergency room...
She spent 5 days in the hospital. Many MRI's, an IV drip of steroid therapy. (There went her Olympics career.
) After that, some days in therapy with follow up therapy sessions at the local hospital. She worked very hard...finally able to walk again.
Yesterday, she wanted to try pool. When we entered the cue ball, we go warm welcomes from the regulars.
I cannot describe how good it felt to see my bride making it around the table, playing again.
Yes, we were both terrible after a 10 week layoff....and I don't now that I've ever had a more enjoyable time just knocking balls around!
