I just reread Hustler Days for the fourth time, such a great book about the haydays for the pool player. I live in NYC and meet alot of actors and movie people, and if I can I drop the book into the conversation, I do, maybe someone would read it and make a film out of it. I think its such a great character piece, the personalities are bigger than the game, and its funny, sad and exciting. Minnesota Fats alone is worth the watch, oscar gold for the actor portraying him. Danny McGoorty's book is fun also, although I tend to lead towards pool rather than 3 cushion. whats other good books, there was talk about kid delicious being adapted to the screen, but haven't hread a word.

Thanks Lynch. I've been saying that for about 10 years without raising many comments. I don't think pool players read much.

The Hustler was a good film but it would have been even better had they stuck closer to the book. COM was a good book but the film was mediocre.

I would like to see some producer do for Robert Green Ingersoll do what Hal Holbrook did for Mark Twain.

OOPS, I misdirected my answer. Sorry Dennis. But, Happy Easter everyone. May you find the prettiest egg on the block. Color mine skeptical.
