Coring Sizes

I wish you would have told that to the BRW I cored! :)

You made a mistake. That was not brw. It was east indian rosewood. At least a customer of mine bought from you a forearm and buttsleeve as such and got east indian rosewood instead. You hang up the phone on him and you did not make it right either, disappointing to say the least.

When did you become the BRW police? If I were you, I'd butt out because nothing good can come from this conversation. Weren't you in the kite business prior to supposedly being in the cue business? Furthermore, if he purchased BRW, he got BRW. And, if he didn't we would have taken it back but I seriously doubt I made a mistake when it comes to BRW. No one has ever sent me a complaint by email or phoned us on our BRW to date in well over 15 years of dealing with the stuff. If he is a customer of yours, then that explains it all. Additionally, if we hung up on him it was because he was a pinhead. I don't have the time for dealing with idiots which seems to abound in this industry.

Furthermore, if you were sincerely interested in his well being and were looking to make it right, you would have picked up the phone and called me like gentleman as you have done on numerous occasions before when inquiring about stuff. This was nothing more than sticking it up my butt for whatever sick reason you had in mind.

My next reply will be to my attorney in California so keep it up.

I am not in the mood or have the patience to start arguing with you because this thread will end up being 50 pages long. I have to admit that you have always been right with me... Calling customers pinheads and other names and hang up the phone on them just because they have a complaint that's not cool Joe, that's all.
Have a great day in sunny Florida.

Fantastic! We're making progress now. Rather than denigrating and berating anyone in a public forum especially yours truly who works hard to build a business, provide a service and product is just plain wrong. No one should have to endure that nonsense.

As far as your "friend". There could have been any number of reasons I hung up on him, if in fact I did. The #1 reason is because of lack of respect and/or just not understanding plain, simple English when I speak. We don't need to go round-and-round. We offer the fastest refund in the business. If you don't like something, please return it so I can issue the refund and not have to deal with it anymore. Obviously, if I did hang up there was good reason.

Now, as far as your "friend". We sell BRW and Rosewood. They are miles apart in color and appearance not to mention in my shop as well so that it's not pulled by mistake. However, there are similarities BUT one thing for certain - BRW has a very distinct and floral odor that can not be mistaken. We probably have the largest and finest BRW in the country right now so I seriously doubt he got the wrong wood. We don't roll like that and you know better.

Have your "friend" send me an email as I am now curious.

Hi,

Concerning coring and rings I turn my 30" dowel straight to .742 and use a .750 gun drill.

I make my billet slots deep so that my A Joint position rings work in the butt and A joint position. So I can do all five positions use just two billets.

When I drill the billet I use a 47/64 drill bit so I can sand the ID a touch. I hand fit the rings so it is the fit I want. I don't have to worry about a sloppy fit that can effect the slot geometry line up especially near the base of the point geometry. Makes the job much easier when doing a glue up.

By hand fitting every ring the quality of the line up is nothing to fret and is very consistent.

Rick
