Has anyone purchased this set and have any feedback? I have many books with many drills and just wanted some feedback if this provides any thing new or different. Have also tried Dr. Dave's BU drills. Are the DVD drills different from the BU drills?

VEPP provides a comprehensive collection of drills covering every aspect of the game, presented in an efficient, illustrative, and instructional way, supported by online resources. FYI, you can judge what is different or new yourself by viewing all of the online excerpts from each disc. They will give you a good feel for whether or not you might like the DVDs. Just click on each disc link on the VEPP website to view the videos. Also, here's a complete outline of the entire VEPP series.

All of the BU drills are based on drills from VEPP; although, some changes were made to better suit them to the exam scoring format. Regardless, VEPP contains much, much more than the BU Exam drills, and VEPP also includes technique instruction and advice.

Your "Principles" video is a great gem to pools and has saved me in MANY games with tough positions. I still go back and re-watch for reference. Absolutely LOVE the slow motion footage you provided. It's unsurpassed from what I've seen so far. I'm new here so didn't expect to see you on here. If you are a pool enthusiast, VEPP dvd set is one of a few must haves. Given the incredible amount of material covered, it is priced very reasonably as well.

Like you, I have a lot of instructional materials that are out there today but I find myself constantly going back to Dr. Dave’s body of work. If you want to gain a full understanding of the game and truly improve, you need to answer the ‘why’ questions before you can effectively implement the ‘how’ solutions. Dr. Dave always answers both ‘why’ and ‘how’ thoroughly; he doesn't gloss over the ‘why’ parts and skip to the flashier and easier to market ‘how’ solutions.
Does VEPP provide anything new or different? It absolutely does; if you want no-nonsense, gimmick free, cutting edge material look no further.
