2 Amazing Kick Shots at the Joss Tour from MD

I was sitting on the rail for the 3 railer and I thought it was pretty amazing.
Not to just make the ball but to get the shape he did on the 9....
anyone who says it's not that difficult I would challenge to set it up and try it. Out of ten tries how many times do you make it, let alone get perfect shape on the 9?

Koop - thought it was pretty awesome

You know, when you step to a table and check out the 3 rail kick shot and you find where it tracks at... the 8 ball was literally on that track. It's nearly impossible to miss if you know the spot on the wall.

But, playing shape for the 9 is different. IMHO, if you play the natural track to make the 8 you get natural shape to play the 9 in the side....

You must be a world beater!

How does that even make sense...

Because I say the 8 was on the natural track, and the kick in the side was easier...

Would you have said the same thing if I made this remark to the exact same set ups being made by a non-pro? If it was instead of MD an average B player?

That sums it up:) you must be a world beater;)

All kidding aside, he knows it was luck! Do you think efren knew what he was doing when he hit the "z-shot" back in 1995 against earl??? You probably do;) but it was luck! They all know it! As far as making a legal contact, they both knew they were going to hit the ball, but to make it and play shape,,,,, I don't think so;) was Mike's kick as good as efren,,, he'll no! But it was an awesome kick;) again, nice shot Mike;)

You want me or anyone else who says that 3 rail kick isn't amazing to do it? Fine. Be warned that I won't be going for position in the corner on the 9. Hit the kick right and you're left dead in the side. The way Mike hit the shot, to an educated player, shows that he wasn't kicking with an attempt to make it. He was hoping that if he didn't make it, the speed at which he hit it would leave his opponent dirty.

I think it's amazing that he was able to make it at that speed. Even more amazing that the cue ball didn't come out dirty(usually does on a hope and pray shot.) Whats even more amazing is that you think he was trying for that exact plan of events. The shots were luck.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who had this same thought pattern...

I support this message

When I first saw the shot he left himself on the 7, this is what I thought was going to happen.

You mean you where there and I could have said Hi? hehe. I was playing with my son and daughter at table 12 on the other side and we were in the room watching as well. You probably saw them walking around :)

Damn, man, had I known I would have introduced myself.

To the point of luck...of course it was. I just find it funny how everyone says it's not a big deal from behind a keyboard. That shot and position, however lucky it was, was a pretty awesome shot to come with during match play.
