Unbelievable. That town used to be great for pool. House of Billiards and Shooters on 4th right by Marshall, then Classics right up the road a piece. Hell, there was even another House of Billiards in Barboursville.
Ive heard economy issues, but I would have to think poor money management. They were always packed, especially on the weekends with the college crowd. Shooters had a full bar and stage up front, they should have survived on liquor sales alone. I used to do pretty well there on the weekends. Nice Diamond Pro tables, and drunk college kids. They used to charge 7 bucks an hour on the weekends when everybody else in the area was at 2.50-3 bucks. Booze and money flowed.
