Question about an older Meucci

I am going to look at an older Meucci 95-8 cue tonight. It has a pre dot shaft. It looks good in the pics I have seen. Guy said it is straight. He only wants 100.00 for it and the case. Seems like a great deal to me. Any thoughts about these older Meucci cues?

If it's 1980 or before with the thicker butt , Bob made it and it should play great . At that time and before that , most of the heavy hitters played with his stuff ...;)

For a straight cue in good condition, $100 is reasonable. New or old, if it makes it past a couple of years without warping or coming apart it seems they do fine.

I won a meucci 95-7 with pre dot shaft. A very good player. Not all plasticky like the newer ones. $100 seems like a good deal.

Some of the top players used Meuccis made in the 80s as well. For most of us who used them, it seemed the quality changed around 1990.

Buy it! If you don't like it, I will buy it from you. The older Meucci's were the best ones!

Well, I bought the Meucci. It is very nice and perfectly straight. It has some very nice points. I'm not sure if I will keep it. I prefer my McDermott. I may just trade it for an OB or maybe a McDermott I3 shaft.
