The 3-ball was pocketed on the break in that game. Efren's miss was on the 2-ball.

Wow, that's a lot. Maybe he was trying to throw efren off with his chalking, is asking to have the cue ball cleaned that many times a way of saying you chalk too much? So your opponent would be thinking about his repeated chalking before the shot? Or was it a clear stalling tactic that should have been called on by the ref to negate a shot clock?
Boyes asked the ref to clean the cueball on about every other shot. Ok, that's probably a slight exaggeration, but it seemed like just about every other shot.
There should be a number for how many times you're allowed to ask for the cue ball to be cleaned.
He requested the ref to clean the CB like 15 times, more or less. I lost count after 10

Looks like he's fully capable of winning a race to 11 against anyone.
Apparently Karl posted (Facebook?) that there was a kick (skid) early in the match, so he was taking no chances thereafter.
No disrespect intended, but Karl was having the cueball cleaned many times before that skid. I'm wondering if all that cleaning led to the skid. And yes, it was as bad of a skid as you can ever see.
Karl shot amazingly. I think he had a three or four pack on his break.
I see Corey using a slider on his playing shaft right now.

"There should be a number for how many times you're allowed to ask for the cue ball to be cleaned."
This having the cue ball cleaned repeatedly not only delays the match, but can be used to stall especially when the players are on a shot clock in a pressure situation.
Also it can be used to keep their opponent to keep them in their chair longer when it's not their turn or to throw an opponent off.
I've seen many matches where when an opponent is down (or up for that matter) they will slow the pace down to a snails pace to throw their opponent off or keep them out of stroke.
The same reason they only allow so many breaks to be taken by each opponent during a match. They also designate when you are allowed to take a break for some of the same reasons.
Limit the number because it makes sense to.
I consider CB cleaning a sharking move, not that Efren cares, but when done repeatedly, the opponent starts wondering why this guy is asking for cleaning that often, and will at one point or another account for a throw when none needed, and miss, very clever legal move. Also, it changes CB condition, which could cause errors
