The score was not deceiving and probably would have been much closer had it not been for a double kiss, and Lung hooking shane after a bad miss.

Shane missing that 9 after Yu Lung had missed it was the turning point of the match.
 
And those keyboards champions go crazy spamming on the chat :" nobody beat Shane on a tight diamond race to 100" :p.
Hope you guy watch the whole previous match of him against Wu JiaQing and this one against Shane. Chang just caught an out-of-the-world gear today.

Shane was broken after that shot. From there they both knew who the winner was.

That shot very well could have been "the shot" for the match.

This was a really tough field as was the tournament in China two weeks ago. Making it to the final 8 in both is very respectable.

Agreed. This was a thrashing. YL Chang was the better player by far. Even Shane's many AZB apologists will struggle to come up with an excuse for this loss. Of course, losing to the hottest player on the planet is no shame.

I'm more inclined to take a positive view of things. Shane was 5th in the WPA China Open and 5th in the WPA World 9-ball Championships. Those are encouraging results that bode well for Shane in the future against these brutally tough WPA fields.

Yes as someone said earlier those who had followed China Open few weeks ago knew what this Chang can do. He was like the low profile Chang that others did not take much notice of.

In yesterday's match and match just now, I noticed that Shane's counter safety game was quite weak. Chang safe him and Shane counter and sold out. When Shane safe Chang he leaves sliver of ball :D

So true. Shane's two consecutive 5th place finishes in WPA play are rock solid here and his fans should be encouraged, not vigilant.

Btw, what should we say about the guy who won China Open and now in the semi of the World Champion ?:p
It's kind of funny because Earl send Shane a mess asking why didn't he win the China Open and saying:" who is the guy who won it, I didn't even know him, you (Shane) are the better player than him bla bla " .
I wonder what Earl gonna say now :p...

Shane did go down fighting like a champion today. Too bad his fans try to find an excuse for losing like this lucky shot and that lucky shot. To me Shane showed some true grit, even though he was a little slumped at 10-4.

Feijen knocked out favorite Biado 11-7
Li He Wen and Ouschen tied 8-8
So Haya v Feijen in 1st semi
And Chang v Li He Wen or Ouschan in other semi
Tomorrow semifinals 130pm local time (630am EST)

Final at 5pm local time (10 am EST)

These post match reactions by the winners (e.g. Neils & Ouschan) are pretty amazing. It really gives you a sense of the importance of this tournament and the pressure it places these players under. I just don't remember seeing reactions like this at other important tournaments. ...and this is only the Quarter finals!!!

Li He Wen just conceded match to Jasmin Ouschan's younger brother Albin
Li missed an easy 2 on open table with Ouschan leading 10-8. There were still about 5 to 6 balls on table. After the miss he shook Ouschan hand

So tomorrow semifinals
Haya vs Feijen
Ouschan vs Chang

• Made at least 1 ball on break and didn't foul -- 9 of 9 Chang, 10 of 10 SVB

• Breaker won game -- 7 of 9 Chang, 6 of 10 SBV

• Break-and-run games -- 4 of 9 Chang, 4 of 10 SBV

• Balls pocketed -- 93 Chang, 72 SVB

• Open shots missed -- 3 Chang, 4 SVB

• Fouls -- 0 Chang, 1 SVB
