Took a lesson with Lee Brett on 6/29/14 and wanted to post my results.
At the beginning of the 4 hour lesson, Lee took a while watching me shoot a few racks and drills and recorded the strengths and weaknesses with my fundamentals. We then tackled each area individually. Lee corrected my speed and distance around the table, my stance, sighting, preshot routine, and warm up strokes. He gave me a whole new way to approach the table based on the distance to the cueball and the line of the shot. After the lesson, I felt a renewed sense of excitement for the game.
The very next day, I played a match in my local TAP 8 ball league. I am a skill level 6, and had to play a 7 in a 5-4 race. The guy I played is by far the best and most dominant player in the league. I have played this guy at least 5 times previously and just could not win.
During the match, I felt very confident with my new preshot routine and approach. I did everything Lee taught me, and I won the match easily, with a final score of 4-2. After the match, everyone commented on how solid and confident I looked.
I want to give a big thanks to Lee Brett and I can't wait until he is back in my area so I can go over my game with him again and continue to improve. If anyone is on the fence or considering scheduling a lesson, DO IT!
Thanks for reading!
